@CaptainPoovabladoo My bad. I forgot because when I go up its usually summer and they don't run the steam train. Plus I was just saying that about the bear shows because most people go there for the shows
The Climax is a very awesome engine, I only wish they didn't have those weird sounding steel bells. The engine should have a nice high pitched brass bell rather than a weird steel bell.
Which one, the normal or the high notes? I prefer the lower, more professional sounding whistle myself, but I guess it's all in good fun, or intertaining kids.
What a great video. 5 stars, and I just had to Favorite it. Thanks for the behind the scenes look. Those guys looked like they really enjoyed what they do, but then again, why wouldn't they? The new Wolfman looked pretty good too. Hope to visit Clark's in two weeks or so. Love the vintage photo shop there.
Nice video! I think they should take away the microphone from the wolfman because it just doesn't seem right. He seems more intimdating screaming at the train instead of just talking though a microphone. The old wolfman had athsma or something right? So he couldn't yell anymore.
Oh well I knew it was something making it hard to breath. I thought I remembered some guy in the engine house saying he had athsma and thats why he couldn't yell but you seem to know what your talking about so I'll believe you.
Many years ago Bill was down on the Merrimack river in Allenstown NH Howling at the moon..Chief Conners the former cheif of police ask him "what are you a Wolfman ?? So he was perfect for the job. Ive known Bill for many years..
I first went to Clarks a long time ago when I was 5 or so and he scared me (especially the gun) but later I liked him a lot. I was dissapointed when he got replaced. Didn't one of the engineers at Clarks also use to be the wolfman?
I was at clarks yesterday and I saw him! Bill was there talking with the new wolfman and he did a bit of yelling at the train. He wasn't dressed up in a wolfman costume or anything but I was pleased to see him. Maybe he'll give the new wolfman some tips on how to be more scary like squinting his eye and pointing at particular people. The new wolfman doesn't do that.
Yeah he has a different style. But I really wish they'd get rid of that microphone! To me it seems like it makes the wolfman so much less realistic (not that a guy chasing a train through the woods is realistic in the first place) but it seems like it was so much better without it. Thats just my opinion. I think he did a good job but I don't think anyone can come close to what Bill did. That guy made such an awesome wolfman.

This whistle is a Canadian Nationals McAvity 4-chime step-top. These have that creepy, foreboding sound to them!

The lower one.

They should remove the higher ones, it immasculates one of three remaining Climaxes, and the only WOODBURNER!

Timber should make the wolfman character his own way. Yes learn from Bill, but make it his own at the same time..
Let Tim do his thing..

Wonderful film dude. I wish I could have been up there, but it was only today that it was my LAST day of goddamn school!
And nice Railroad tycoon music at the end :1

A tad more appropriate than the circus calliope, no? Glad you enjoyed the video!
BTW, I feel your pain - I'm stuck taking finals till the end of the week. Sorry you couldn't make it to Railfest. :(
