You know, I've always loved Mulan, even as a child but the Cantonese version just sound so so awesome. Like the lyrics for the Canto version, it's just awesome. Not to mention I feel empowered now.
Also, I thought Shang was hot. XD I just love Mulan because she was so smart, beautiful and just downright awesome. I need to download this song and movie in Cantonese.
Jackie Chan is not an actual fighter. He is just a stunt man who grew popular in movies. i dont like his singing........... but i love the cantonese language, as i grew up with it and i love this song.............
@moocheeseify i know who Jet Li is =.= LIKE DUH! WHO DIDNT♥?! My father is from Hong Kong and my mother is from Taiwan. I grew up watching movies that speak both mandarin and cantonese, so i know...
Jackie Chan...well kinda. He joined the Chinese Opera Research Institute at the age of seven, where he spent a decade training for the Peking Opera. He learned "martial arts" and acrobatics.....
so basically... Jet Li is way better...♥
plus....I just dun like how jackie chan sings this song....
It is Cantonese. Perhaps you should learn it more? I also speak it.. and like the rest of the comments replying to your post, this IS Cantonese. The other version (?) probably because both the Mandarin and Canto versions are sung by Jackie Chan
It's so neat to hear these songs and watch bits of this movie as it would have sounded, had it been in real life. It's really cool! ^_^ Thanks for uploading!
@TaeGheon Cantonese is the speaking part of the language which is adopted by Southern Chinese, and Southern Chinese uses Traditional Chinese to write, same goes for Taiwan too
the Northern Chinese uses Mandarin and Simplified writings.
@dcfefs Umm, Southern China doesn't speak Cantonese, it speaks Mandarin. Guang Zhou( a province) speaks Cantonese, and Hong Kong (a city) is in Guang Zhou. Hence, Cantonese is only spoken by a province (a few hundred million), Mandarin is spoken by every one in China except for certain dialects within tribes and such.
@katherineamelia98 Actually, Guangzhou (Canton) is a city that's in Guangdong, which is the province :) Also, the entirety of Guangdong doesn't speak Cantonese, mostly just in Guangzhou, the area around it, Hong Kong, and Macau.
@LuXun1548 haha hi five for being cantonese. I live in hong kong so i understand cantonese too. You know how you read stuff in cantonese? Everything sounds different. for example, in mandarin, who is pronounced shei. In cantonese, that word is read as sui. However when you say who in cantonese, like normally speaking you'd say bin guo. sorry. Its sort of hard to explain it....
THANKS...Jackieeee is awesome....GREAT !! =)...and this song and video is great too so inspirational....and shang is extremely handsome..o////o....grrr..... XD
In the manderin version, Jackie chan sang the song but the regular voice actor was different. Here, it sounds like jackie Chan does both voice acting and singing.
LOVE THIS SONG... MAKES ME FEEL POWERFUL ^_^
