  • I attached 2 Hp 1730's (1280 x 1024) to my x1650 pro, but it seems that it can't handle it, as my drivers stopt, and then recovers again. i can't even play GTA San Andreas Multi player for longer then an hour.. o.O anyone got a solution? (when internetting ETC. it works perfect. this is only with gaming) please, if you have a solution, try to make it as simple as possible (im only 15)

  • I am using Ubuntu 11.04 with the ATI Catalyst running I have a HD 5450 video card with 512mb Ram I clicked on the dual monitors and turned on Xinerama to be able to move stuff from one screen to the other. I then Restart or log off to turn on that stuff. After grub screen I get a black screen with a vertical line cursor and Ubuntu won't finish loading. I have 1.28 gig of ram on the computer. Has anyone had this problem. I can use the extended monitor or the dual as single monitor in Win 7.

  • Whenever i use two monitors with my card (i have the same one he's using) it makes my computer heat up faster than normal. Someone help.

  • Ok now get a better camera and some better lighting yours sucks

  • @greenhornet123 hehe..your right. I used a shitty HTC phone running windows mobile. My current phone is the samsung galaxy i9000 that can do 720p HD video :-)

  • This is exactly what I want. I have a dell 22'' monitor (square body) but want a dual setup. These monitors are hard to get for a reasonable price, and the new Dells have that curve, shiny facade This video has given a few more reasons to dish the cash on another monitor.

  • Nice mate :)

  • this is good for me i just want to run my ati x1650 on my 17 inch CRT monitor with ubuntu 9.04 but there are no drivers yet and my computer already crashed on me

  • that is so f***** sweet!

  • I love it!!!! What're your system specs?

  • That's Awesome!! I've been looking everywhere for a guide so that I could accomplish the same thing, but it never works. If you used a guide, can you tell me which one it was?

  • Hi,

I used all kind of guides but none of them worked. Check out the url under "About this video" section.

  • ottimo!! che driver hai usato per far girare il 3d con la x1650?? è PCI-EX o AGP??

  • what're your monitors' resolution?

  • Hi gtducati,

  • hey nice setup i got dual monitors too but never got it to work in linux cause ati, if you use a guide could you let me know witch one thx

  • I would love it to finally run Beryl on debian^^...

  • Hi CPBach,

No, i havent tried beryl. Its my understaning that ubuntu will go forward with compiz, so im just using that.

  • Did u try to get Beryl to run??

I'm really proud of you that you got this to work:P i'm working on this about a week^^

  • how the hell did you get the ati drivers working on ubuntu i have gutsy and latest drivers as of today 14.11.07 with XGL and i still cant get it to work hmm.

  • sebringguy00,

I added a link on the description of the video. You might find the txt file helpful, i added my xorg.conf file, Xorg.0.log output and alot of other files on my system. Hope that helps.

  • How did you get dual monitors w/ ATI working w/ 7.10, particularly being able to maximize a window and have it only fill up 1 screen? And compiz working at the same time?

Is there a guide that you would recommend, or do you have suggestions?

    Comments are greatly appreciated.
