I attached 2 Hp 1730's (1280 x 1024) to my x1650 pro, but it seems that it can't handle it, as my drivers stopt, and then recovers again. i can't even play GTA San Andreas Multi player for longer then an hour.. o.O anyone got a solution? (when internetting ETC. it works perfect. this is only with gaming) please, if you have a solution, try to make it as simple as possible (im only 15)
I am using Ubuntu 11.04 with the ATI Catalyst running I have a HD 5450 video card with 512mb Ram I clicked on the dual monitors and turned on Xinerama to be able to move stuff from one screen to the other. I then Restart or log off to turn on that stuff. After grub screen I get a black screen with a vertical line cursor and Ubuntu won't finish loading. I have 1.28 gig of ram on the computer. Has anyone had this problem. I can use the extended monitor or the dual as single monitor in Win 7.
@greenhornet123 hehe..your right. I used a shitty HTC phone running windows mobile. My current phone is the samsung galaxy i9000 that can do 720p HD video :-)
This is exactly what I want. I have a dell 22'' monitor (square body) but want a dual setup. These monitors are hard to get for a reasonable price, and the new Dells have that curve, shiny facade This video has given a few more reasons to dish the cash on another monitor.
this is good for me i just want to run my ati x1650 on my 17 inch CRT monitor with ubuntu 9.04 but there are no drivers yet and my computer already crashed on me
That's Awesome!! I've been looking everywhere for a guide so that I could accomplish the same thing, but it never works. If you used a guide, can you tell me which one it was?
how the hell did you get the ati drivers working on ubuntu i have gutsy and latest drivers as of today 14.11.07 with XGL and i still cant get it to work hmm.
I added a link on the description of the video. You might find the txt file helpful, i added my xorg.conf file, Xorg.0.log output and alot of other files on my system. Hope that helps.
How did you get dual monitors w/ ATI working w/ 7.10, particularly being able to maximize a window and have it only fill up 1 screen? And compiz working at the same time?
Is there a guide that you would recommend, or do you have suggestions?
