I remember listening to this one summer's evening towards the end of May 2010. It had been a long, traumatic day and it was going to be worse the next day. As I sat there in the lull of battle in the garden of a tucked-away house in Wiltshire, this came on the radio and allowed me to compose myself and be at one with the beautiful summer's evening, and be at peace with the world.

When I was 12 or 13 this song together with OMD's Secret and the Duran2x splinter group Arcadia was often played in the Marcos-Tolentino Headquarters during the 1986 Philippine presidential elections. My juvenile mind fantasized over the pretty youth leader of the headquarters, a girl who was 8 years my senior. In a sort of serendipity, i later discovered that my ex-wife who is 8 years my senior was this girl's classmate in high school. :)
