the camera is brilliant, only feature its missing is manual exposure setting, maybe they are working on it? atleast it has the technology to do it

i made a macro/microscope attachment to my n8 from cheap currency detecting 45X lens you could attach many different lenses to it if you want, just attach with piece of tape they are really small and light weight. use the macro mode, zoom about half way so the lens border goes away and use manual focusing and enjoy the macro world

Its the Ultimate camera smartphone. If they improve the processor....improve the OS...it would be the the ultimate smartphone....I have it over a year now....my god the quality of this phone is astonishing.... drop on the concrete floor....i dunno how many times i drop it it just so durable...I just bought the N9 and still have the N8 as my primary camera phone....I love it.

i've used this phone for some oh...i dunno since it came out. Made in finland. I dropped it, even used it's back as a support for unbending a nail it's full of scratches all over the place, i removed the annoying nokia logo on the back. in short i abuse this phone and yet i just can't get why you people say it's bad, why you ppl brake it then complain etc. this phone is a brick house and i gave/give it no love whatsoever still it works.

I have this phone and my friends won't stop complimenting how "sexy" it looks. haha

The only problem I have is when I set it on vibrate, after two days it'd automatically switch the vibration off.

And the setting for the vibration won't change until I turn the phone completely off than turn it on again, go to the personal phone setting and than turn the vibration switch to on.

@TheCynicalCat your wording is terrible and its hard to understand which state your telling us your phone is in! vibrate or not. if im reading it correctly im assuming it turns to ring after 2 days... this is probably a feature in case you mislaid it in your house! because how many times have we lost our phones under the sofa set on vibrate or silent and not been able to find it by ringing it? does it do this for low battery too? a chance to find it by sound before it dies?!

i've had a Nokia N8 for 9 months now and i absolutely love it!!! only issues were that it has started to lag tiny bit and once i tried unlocking the phone via touching the unlock button and the screen didnt respond. it's internet is pretty slow aswell but that probably is related to the network i am on? apart from that, the phone has been amazing. i still haven't used all its features though..

@monkeylove2102 no. this is common knowledge in nokia circles... the internet on the phone is not as good as it should be, cant load pages up too quickly. i "had" this phone had because it has been stolen and since blocked. currently im debating getting it again because i liked it that much. however there are 2 shortfalls so i though i would list them as we are on topic. internet is slow and phone cant process multiple tasks without lag. the operating system is finished meaning limited support.

the pros of the phone is the amazing camera that can see details on teeth from 2 meters away. the phone is almost indestructable. cant count the times ive dropped it or kicked it to stop it hitting the floor. nothing more than a small dent on the corner of the aluminuim casing. very well designed. it has a nice interface very nokia themed if youve been using them for years. battery life is very decent if you know how to manage power. 2.5 days it has a full amoled screen very clear and glossy.

My N8 just died after 3 month of usage. It happened while i was charging one morning and while unlocking to make a call, there was no response and the screen saver clock just dissapered 4 secs later. I was unable to power it up since then. =.=

@MultiS3an That was 2 months ago, recently just sent it back in again due to the same problem. The least i would be worry about are viruses since symbian is getting less and less popular and after nokia announcing its death, i doubt there'll be any dumb hackers out there creating virus for this platform anymore.

@Nanozander the same happened to me, maybe we got it to early, to unlock it a put it in my fridge and it work, then it completely turn off, i went to my phone company and have it changed and now works just fine, remember that this happens with products that are really new, the same thing happened to the xbox

Aperture:  f/2.4 vs f/2.8 now here 4s wins a bit shame it has no control over it :/ kinda pointless
