because play and charge only powers the controller, it doesn't transfer controller activity, when u plug ur controller into your xbox with the P&C the controller is still using wireless, try plugging the play and charge into a pc, and hit the power button, the computer will notice it but will not do anything to the controller, the controller will still connect to your xbox

To everybody: Yes, you can use wireless but only if you own a "Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows" which they sell on ebay and amazon for around 20-something bucks. It will not work with the play and charge kits. As for using the analogs, open the Joy2Key app, go to the Preferences tab (It's on the far right) and make sure you have "Use POV switches" turned on.

The wireless controllers are synced wirelessly, using a play and charge litterally does nothing to effect the connection of the controller to the xbox, it just makes it so you can charge wireless battery packs or play without one. You need a wireless xbox controller adapter for pc in order to sync wireless controllers.
