So the Fed just engaged in contract with the US government That: If the Treasury is unable to satisfy a demand by the Fed for the funds, the Fed is never going to try to gain access to the gold that stands as collateral for the gold certificates issued by the Treasury. That whatever claim it may or may not have had to said collateral is now null and void by their own volition?
1. Maloney asserts the Keynesian fear tactic that without the "emergency" actions of the Fed our "recession" would have turned into a "depression". Ms. Maloney lets put that theory to the test.
2. As Maloney panders to the pointy headed Fed spokesmen attempting to discredit questions about the central banks operations, it makes one wonder if she is one of the members in congress who has been making unusually high stock market gains? Her investment activity should be dissected.
Can Ron Paul be President? Only if WE give it our all. Unless you give your time, talent and money to this cause don't expect it to happen. Dr. Paul can't do it alone. It's your life, your future. Decide and then live with that decision.
1. The central bank is a scheme by which through the miracle of compound interest and the certainty of time moving forward, the bank will come to possess the wealth of the nation.
2. This is mechanical, the outcome certain and the the net has been cast so broad and deep, that it is invisible to those ensnared by the very paper for which we labor, that we measure our personal nominal economic progress and what we carry in our wallets.

Ever since I first saw Alvarez, I've believed that he is a purposely cunning choice by the Fed for these hearings and other media events. Meek, mousy, polite, soft-spoken, etc. His whole demeanor and delivery is designed to deter decent people from pressing him too hard so as to avoid being viewed as a bully. Aside from that, he uses the word "so" excessively to begin his answers.
But.....Ron Paul is both a private and public corporation just like the Fed Reserve, isn't he? watch?v=T3c_tbfPC2s. He sure is, traded 3X on Dun & Bradstreet. Odd how that works, right? Yet, you "citizens" already knew all that, so are commenting from a completely factual perspective, not a media related fantasy-land. My apologies.
@TheCaptainSlappy Alright? So what? He has his own company. Isn't that everybody's God given RIGHT to own one's own business? If he own's stock's and does some trading, isn't that is own choice and righ? Ron Paul doesn't believe in Corporatism, he believes in Austrian Economic's. He believe's in having a sound monetary policy, not the Keynesian policy that is failing us since 1913.
Get your head out of your ass and your fact's straight.

Mr. Alvarez sounds like a social worker. He might as well be saying in his Father Alverez God-loves-you voice, "We counterfeit money, steal from you, play shell games with global central banks so we can rule the world, and don't give a damned about peons like YOU. Lacy Clay Pigeon reminds me of Senator Pat Geary from the movie The Godfather Part Two. The crooked Senator is one-upped by mafia kingpin, Michael Corleone. When it comes time for Geary to participate in a Senate subcommittee hearing about organized crime, the slimeball Geary excuses himself by lying about a prior commitment. Before doing so however, he makes sure to give high praise to Michael Corleone’s character and attempts to dismiss any accusations of Corleone’s nefarious activities.
Ron Paul would do well to say "cartel" after he says "Federal Reserve" each and every time. It would help people understand why he asks the questions he does...
Ron Paul is a GREAT man! He has diamond-tough integrity and great mind and that's why he is a threat to those bankster scumbags that are robbing all of us blind!

Handing over our Monetary System to Private Banks was treasonous! Now we have to hold these meeting for information that would other wise be common knowledge if we controlled our own currency. Our dollar is devalued and inflation is effecting us all because of these Private Banks!
Time to END the FED and take control of our currency!
Not very many interested I notice. Where is the press, the flashing cameras and the TV reporters??? Unbelievable that so few cares...the economy going down the drain and all. But wait, Lady Gaga had a new album out!
Do watch the last 10 minutes of this video. Paul traps Alvarez when he says: "You keep saying that gold is not money. If you're not ever going to use that gold --and you say it's not money but just some asset gathering dust -- then why don't you sell it back to the people??" ... Alvarez retorts: "I have no position on that; go ask the Treasury."
Alvarez says: "I have no position on that at all.... go ask the Treasury department."
@saturnined Yah, funny how they act like this is a waste of time by seeming so disinterested and leaving as soon as they've thrown their softballs out.
He writes us books- sending us to school, he debates the banksters, he holds his sub-committee hearings, he goes on any TV show that asks him, and we still don't learn. It's so over time for a win in the Good's column, but it appears the Evil have gained too much momentum.
roughly 300 bank failures across the nation since TARP costing the FDIC 10s of billions and the TBTFs get the remains. Lawyer says the taxpayer has made, not lost money. Majority of these banks were not allowed up to the discount window, but other nation's banks were. These terrorists are running a scam that only the Medici's could appreciate. Americans are simply in for a rude awakening. What the hell more can Paul do?
"Despite my views about the value to society of greater publicity for the affairs of
corporations, there was an occasion, near the close of 1910, when I was as secretive-indeed as furtive-as any conspirator. I do not feel it is any exaggeration to speak of our secret expedition to Jekyl Island as the occasion of the actual conception of what eventually became the Federal Reserve System." -Rockefeller agent Frank Vanderlip. From the 1971 book "None Dare Call It Conspiracy" by Gary Allen.
@jeffersonianideal Here is another excerpt from Gary Allen's book, None Dare Call It Conspiracy: "When the Federal Reserve System was foisted on an unsuspecting American public, there were absolute guarantees that there would be no more boom and bust economic cycles. The men who, behind the scenes, were pushing the central bank concept for the international bankers faithfully promised that from then on there would be only steady growth and perpetual prosperity."
Those lawyers remind me of the tobacco company lawyers testifying that nicotine is not addictive. The word is "dissembling" and it means lots of words but no answers to the question actually asked. Does anyone else find it offensive that an agency created by Congress can play Rope-a-Dope with Congress to keep secrets?
Does that stupid cow in the traffic-cone orange suit seriously expect us to believe that the Fed HELPED us by keeping incompetent bankers in business? Give me a break!
This is by far the best committee hearing yet. Congrats, Dr Paul!
Won't be long before Helicopter-Ben is forced to testify before Paul's committee. I know he doesn't actually have the subpoena power by himself to do this, but the pressure on the Congress is ever-growing for answers, and given the success of this particular hearing having two Fed lawyers as witnesses, I think the full committee will soon back Ron is issuing the big subpoena!
@jobrien2001 Oh my goodness, I was going to say that! She had not uttered more than 10 words and you could totally tell that she has WALL STREET tattooed on her forehead.
We need to get the slippery tongued lawyers out of these hearings and get some Rockefellers and Rothschilds up in front of this committee. It's time to end the scam called the Federal Reserve System/IRS. It started out as a criminal endeavor, and there's no way to deodorize it. And BTW, Mrs. Maloney obviously either doesn't understand how private banksters work, or she is a stooge for them. I'm betting on the latter and I hope her constituents are taking notice.
I wish more questions were asked. I'll look for the written ones later. Still, I am glad to hear what the FED officials had to say. Need to understand their arguments well in order to counter them on academic, legal, and common grounds.
@czargwar, no need for complexity in the argument against the legality of the Federal Reserve. Here's what the U.S. Constitution says,
"Congress shall have the power to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;"
It DOES NOT say congress may cede or hand over it's monetary responsibilities to a private group engaged in activities that would put you or I in prison.
cool, because it doesn't say how they are to do those tasks, i can argue that federal reserve act of 1913 is just a method they chose in performing this task. Ball is in your park.
@czargwar, given that logic, could we have surrogates fulfill prison sentences for us? The constitution says "Congress shall have the power", I think that's makes it pretty clear who is supposed to be creating and regulating money in the U.S.. If we let this argument breakdown into minutia, legalese and over-analysis, we will witness another 100 years of Felony Reserve control of our country. The obfuscation and secrecy of the Fed are to hide the indefensible.
No matter how big and powerfull they believe they are, Ron Paul represents the power of the people whether we are totally aware of all the issues or not. We might well be forced to take notice...and then the power of words spoken by RP will be elevated.

The last 10 minutes of this video made my day. Seeing Mr. Paul talk down to those two Fed boys in freestyle fashion, is what it's all about.

Clay just comes to these things to waste time.
pb1051 8 months ago
@pb1051 Yep. Clay is the designated banking cartel's shill for the ones to Paul's right who don't want to show up and give Paul's crusade credence.

It's so over time for a win in the Good's column, but it appears the Evil have gained too much momentum.
jeffersonianideal-great quote, great book.

Of Course they are not going to disclose where the money went, It would cause a Revolution the very next day, If people knew how their scam worked!

roughly 300 bank failures across the nation since TARP costing the FDIC 10s of billions and the TBTFs get the remains.

The Fedsters going to shake the hand of Dr Paul when the hearing is finished...
ah ah ah :D
Looks like he is giving them a bit of trouble ^^

Need to understand their arguments well in order to counter them on academic, legal, and common grounds.
czargwar 8 months ago
@czargwar, no need for complexity in the argument against the legality of the Federal Reserve. Here's what the U.S. Constitution says,
"Congress shall have the power to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;"
It DOES NOT say congress may cede or hand over it's monetary responsibilities to a private group engaged in activities that would put you or I in prison.
teerexness 8 months ago 2
@teerexness
cool, because it doesn't say how they are to do those tasks, i can argue that federal reserve act of 1913 is just a method they chose in performing this task. Ball is in your park.
czargwar 8 months ago
@czargwar, given that logic, could we have surrogates fulfill prison sentences for us? The constitution says "Congress shall have the power", I think that's makes it pretty clear who is supposed to be creating and regulating money in the U.S.. If we let this argument breakdown into minutia, legalese and over-analysis, we will witness another 100 years of Felony Reserve control of our country. The obfuscation and secrecy of the Fed are to hide the indefensible.
teerexness 8 months ago
No matter how big and powerfull they believe they are, Ron Paul represents the power of the people whether we are totally aware of all the issues or not. We might well be forced to take notice...and then the power of words spoken by RP will be elevated.
