Did anyone ever play MGS1 for the PSX besides me? If you did,then why don't you realize that this is making fun of the PSX? MGS1 for PSX had 2 disks! That is what this codec call is making fun of, the PSX not the Xbox 360. Nobody cared about more then one disk for a game before Sony announced they would use Blu-ray, MGS1 had 2 disks and nobody complained about it having 2 disks.

@demondog45 no it isnt xbox discs are 15 gb and this game was 45 it was on a dual layered blu ray which is 50 so it wudd take 3 xbox discs i doubt any other mgs game is bigger than 4 so any other from this point on will be about the same or a little more at most itll be 4 discs

I got a PS3 for christmas and have enjoyed it on the most part, the only thing the xbox has over the ps3 in my opinion is party chat, text chat feels like a big step back by about 10 years. Hope it gets fixed

The people thumbing down are obviously people who won't take any criticism of the PS3, the thing is an amazing powerhouse but it's missing those features that are just fundamental in this day and age. One of the reasons me and my friends get a majority of our games on the 360 still is because we can actually chat and keep in contact if say one of us doesn't make it into a game online etc.

All of the video content was shot in HD 720p. Could you imagine? Installing 720P content on the 360 with 3 or 4 discs? That would suck balls. MGS4 is the pure and plain reason to buy a PS3 (for me, that was the reason! :) )
That is the humor of the game, breaking the "fourth wall", there is quite a few of these in the game, "Snake did you change the controller number to something other then 1?" - (during Psycho Mantis battle switch controller number) and when Psycho Mantis moves your controller and also later exclaims "No memory card!"

I like PS3 and 360 equally. I have MGS4 and Resistance for ps3, then halo and gears 2 for the xbox. Call of duty goes for both systems, so no matter which system you get you pretty much win if you ask me.

You have to buy the wireless thing, the rechargable batteries, the blu-ray player (if they decide to since hd dvd's are dead), xbox live, and swaping discs just for two shooters? I prefer Gran Turismo, God Of War and Metalgear than just... two shooters.

I like PS3 and 360 equally. I have MGS4 and Resistance for ps3, then halo and gears 2 for the xbox. Call of duty goes for both systems, so no matter which system you get you pretty much win if you ask me.

I know this is funny for some then really sad for others (especially me) when I had my mate over I was showing him crying wolf, then after I finished her off I handed the control over to him. He shot her dead in her final form, but after the codec story was over he turned Snake around, saw the wolf and shot it dead. The thing is he didn't expect another two that very soon after came at him and killed him.

people that say, "well switching disc are better than installing for 3 min", its really a good thing cause they actually ment to do that for the player to take a break, hint the comments that show up will installing. plus id rather install cause if one of your discs get scratched up, your screwed.

You do know that the 80gb PS3 is going down to 399 in September, don't you?
That means it will be 50 bucks CHEAPER than an "Elite" 360, and only 100 bucks more than a "Premium". But, the PS3 comes with FREE INTERNET and WIRELESS INTERNET, as well as a Blu-Ray drive.
So good luck buying a 360 and a Blu-Ray player for 400 dollars, and then playing your games online for free.
