In the OT the evictees were compensated and taken care of by the people they ministered to and helped, and the people were glad to do it. Today, people arrogantly feel they should just "give from the heart" and then pull a fat one dollar bill out of their pocket.
The natural person does not, can not receive things of the Spirit of God: spiritual things are foolish to the natural person ( 1 Corinthians 2: 14 ) To try to explain or even reply to the mind of a person trapped in the physical realm is to "cast your pearls..." Until an individual has been "born again of water AND Spirit", you are only wasting your breath. Instead we can only pray that the vails of darkness be removed from their hearts and that they would humbly repent before Almighty God.
Do not judge with our limited human minds whether it is real or fake just base on what one person say. I have seen and heard from people from different places having wonderful/disgusted spiritual experiences including myself and my family members. I believe Jonathan Welton's sharing is not faking. I am sure the money earned thru the books is used for the purpose to prosper the kingdom of God. Why don't you ask how come Macdonal charge us instead of giving free meals to the public instead?

I would like some feedback on Prophets that call for money lines to give a word from the Lord, most of the time it is in the poorest neighborhoods. I was invited to one with single parents moms who were struggling to feed their kids but the prophets promised money and blessings for various dollar amounts. This did not sit well in my spirit. I do believe the Lord will move on you to give a certain amount but without manipulation and gimmicks.
I have seen prophecy lines at a few Pentecostal Churches where you get a prophecy if you stand in the line where the Prophet /speaker said God wanted 100 people to give fifty dollars and they would receive a word from the Lord? I can't find one place in the bible where Jesus made people pay for a word or a healing. I thought he made the payment on the cross to freely give us all things Romans 8:32. There are prophets use their gift to raise money ( fund raise). They promise blessings for money
NotFlaking Almost forgot, the last one wanted 1,000 not a mere 100 and all who gave were promised healing, blessings, prosperity etc. I thought the New Covenant was the Dispensation and Age of Grace. the Definition of Grace is Unearned and Unmerited (free) FAVOR and when God saved us he gave us his favor!
Paul said the Corinthian lacked no spiritual gifts ( did not fall behind in spiritual gifts) yet he also called them carnal in another chapter and in another he had to limit there use of excessive display of gifts to have worship that was decent and in order and also so visitors coming into the congregation would not think they were mad as in crazy see 1st Corinthians 14:23. Ever been to gathering of competitive show off's or prophecies to fund raise. Any advice on avoiding this?

Be very careful with this. Seeing into the other realms/dimensions is not something you should try and look into. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. A true gift is not something you have to learn it's something that is given

For every action their is an equal and opposite reaction. I will put it simply. Your soul is NOT pure there for you are subject to possession. Our souls are weak and CAN NOT guard against those that are more powerful. GOD will NOT protect you as he has given us freewill. When you play with fire and channel spirits like this you get what you ask for.
One of the Pastor's at my church has a testimony of using this gift, he saw spirits of oppression on a lady and literally pulled them out of her. This gift real and for today.
Not everyone will get this gift. Just like not everyone has the gift of tongues, not everyone has the gift of healing, and on and on. Some Christians get too obsessed with trying to get a particular gift when they should be focused on GOD.

this guy was at my church..just got back from the presentation..it was pretty cool , though im kinda skeptical about some of the stories..he said that this lady healed many people and resurected people. also that theres a church thats healed 50,000 people of AIDS...are these real?
