Back then the Big East still had Miami Va. Tech and BC. Marshall wouldn't even have finished in the top 5. They still hang on to those 2 basketball wins in 2004 n 2005 as well. You have an 8-2 record against WVU in the past ten years. Wow im impressed. Let's face it WVU is a bigger school with better players to choose from with a higher profile nationally than Marshall. That;s why year after year we kick your ass. It's as simple as that.

It doesnt matter how much holliday poaches wvus recruits,they will never beat WVU,even when marshall had Randy moss,chad pennington ect they STILL couldnt beat an average mountaineer team. Bill stewart cant coach a high school gym class and he still beats marshall. After the series is over and WVU doesnt renew it, marshall wont be able to give tickets away. No matter how much you herd fans want it to be a rivalry and think marshall has a chance it NEVER will be.
