I wish the man in charge of the files would have talked about what is in the files. The LAPD still will not release the autopsy in full or even say what the contents of her stomach were. They can even chemically analyze those contents and maybe perform skin cell DNA on any of her belongings to see who touched them. Well maybe not the skin cell DNA in this case since so many people handled things at the crime scene or after. It's a good theory, so is the drifter in "Severed" and Dr. Hodel.
The methodical aspect of this murder casts no doubt on the fact that someone who committed this horrendous crime, has done it before, you don't just graduate into this kind of monster before going trough some kind of preschool of serious crimes.

There is a grammatical error on the cut and paste letter ("is" instead of "are") that is common to people for whom English is a second language when dealing with the plural of a noun (In the Germanic languages there is a completely different verb in the case of the plural).
In the side view autopsy photo we see that Beth was sitting up at her death: The killer would have wanted to feel dominant. A man can tower over a 5'5" woman that is standing, a woman may not.
We know from criminal profiling that in sex crimes where the body is washed the killer often intends to return to it. There's was no chance of returning to Beth's body so the reason for bathing is something else, perhaps to simply destroy evidence.
I think that Beth was a message to Doc B From the girlfriend: Go back to your wife and I will do this to her.
Killing a doctor's wife would demand the case be solved, killing a penniless drifter...
Or, maybe the Surgeon and the girlfriend did it together.

I am not so sure about Hodel's theroy.
He is not only claiming that his father killed Elizabeth Short.
According to Hodel his father was also responsible for the Zodiac, Lipstick and Jigsaw murders.
By anyone's standards that is one hell of a rap sheet. It's very unlikely that Hodel senior was involved in any of these crimes imho.
