im 16 and have a 3.0 with 4x4,,,people would be suprised how good of a truck they are

fairly quick for what it is...and if u know how to drive it right u wont get stuck practicly anywhere

Dude do you relize they had a 4wd option back in 84 when they came out with those? Think before you Speek lol I had a friend with a 84 like my old 84 ranger and mine was only 2wd but his was 4wd.

@fatkidjoey i'm damn sure its a 2.9... if not, then its fucked up how they changed the engine by .1 litre of oil. the older ones were 2.9, and apparently yours is 3.0..

@VertigoSqueal90 The 2.9 is the new 4.0L V-6. The 3.0L V-6 is a new (at the time) engine Ford introduced. They took the 2.9 and gave it a bigger crank and pistons to make it a 4.0L. I had one and I gave that motor and hell and she kept on coming. Couldnt blow it up. Very dependable motor.
