You wanted advice. All i can say is try to keep your left wrist straighter. Lower the neck on the guitar when you're playing if it helps to keep it straight. The way you're playing with your wrist bent at that angle, you could develop carpal tunnel down the road due to all the stress you're putting on the tendons in your hand/wrist. I assume you want to still be able to play like this 20 years from now =)

Only thing I'd say is to put a bit more "flappage" into the sweeps. Couple more notes in there (top of first sweep is 12-17-12-20-17-12, etc.), but the accuracy of everything already there was spot on. Clean as hell, too.

dude how the fuck did you manage to put it in C? i've heard the edge 3 bridge is really bad.. im getting the xiphos but im not sure if i should buy the FR one or the fixed bridge one.

Is it possible to put the edge pro in all tunings?

mine doesn't have too many problems, none that can't be fixed anyway.

i'm sure you can get into any tuning with it though, just make sure you have the right gauge strings!

i'm pretty sure in this vid i have daddario 11-52s so try that out for anything low. the tuning is Drop C

so you just put in 11-52's and the bridge didn't go up or down or like you had to make any changes to the springs or something?

you'll also have to adjust the spring tension on the bridge to balance it, and you should be fine, you action will change, and if your picky about it, adjust your truss rod for more tension (lower action, but beware of fret buzz for going to low), or put relief on the truss rod if there is buzz, then adjust the height of the bridge accordingly for help even out the higher up frets with the lower frets for a nice even playing surface.

i have my Xiphos in drop C, just need to set up the edge properly ... i honestly dont know where it got a bad rep from ... perhaps im just lucky, but it keeps tune even with torturous bar use

@guitarpunk8 I have a Xiphos, with the edge III and I have had it in all sorts of tunings, from standard to B-standard.. never had any trouble. You just have to be somewhat adept at setting up a floating bridge, removing/adding springs and adjusting the claw hook :)

the bridge isn't too bad, but my friend is in a band with the guy at ibanez who designed and worked on the xiphos and said the kind of wood they used for the neck (maple i think) is what makes the guitar go out of tune a lot =/
