  • damn u got hooked up with the lid..

  • i cover for the rack would be nice, like.. the other five sides. just to keep the batteries protected from the elements.

  • no need they are fine

  • @meade916 lmao to funny, what dont people get? they all know u wont listen to them by now..everyone should just sit back and learn n stop adding suggestions on what steve should do..he is a fucking PRO!! u do some nasty sick work bro

  • What if you need to get access to the batteries or change a battery out?

  • then i will unscrew the lid and take the battery out. No need though, XS power is reliable.

  • whats gonna happen when the battery dies?

  • steve has the batterys hooked up to his alts.... thats why theer is sooooo much wire being ran!

  • dont go through floods

  • lol

  • dayyum.

  • How are you going run the wired thru the lid?

  • underneath the car i think through the wheel arch.

    ** youngjeezy333 **

  • cool!

  • Man I hope to god that second skin doesn't peel off the bottom of that lid and short the batts out. Other then that looks great.

  • it is used to dampen sound. sound vibrates it alot and it does not fall off. im sure it wont come off.

  • hey, can play you Slim Thug-Thug for your first beat sir? Please?

  • i just checked that song out, dope!!!!

  • its coming along, keep it posted

  • Steve im not gonna lie, I really look up to you man!!

Your a great guy keep up the work

  • quick questiong how r u gonna run the wires to the amps when that all down or did i miss something in one of the vids

    ?

  • dam with i worked in a shop like tht< but nice seal pretty flush finish

  • I'm confused at you how are going to access the batteries once the lid is down. (in case you need to get to them for one reason or another) Will you have to unscrew the lid from the frame and completely remove it again to get to the batteries below? Sorry if the answer is on the forum, I haven't looked yet, so i apologize in advance if it has.

  • what about the previous build?? they wernt very accessable then. i dont think hes worrying about that issue now.

  • have soem advice id make a sheet metal thing to go around the bottom of the batteries too so they'll b pretected from the elements b/c they deff arent cheap

  • also to keep rocks from hitting them and so that nobody can look under your truck see batteries. It also wouldn't hurt to insulate the batteries that are outside of the cab so in the winter, they don't get so cold (if it gets cold in the winter where you are or may be going) and they wont knock together that way.

  • insulate them so they dont get so cold in the winter? theres nothing different about them being there with no shielding than being under that thin ass sheet metal hood. granted it would warn up after starting but still gonna see the low temps just the same sitting there. bein that there AGM batts the heat or cold dont effect them hardly at all.

  • i dont think i need your advice but thanks anyway.

  • Why is hannah montana playing in the background?

  • and why are u the only fucker to have picked up on that shit!!!!! faggot

  • because I've got a 9 year old daughter. Yeah, so having a daughter who watches Disney channel makes me a fagot I guess...

  • he wasnt read all the comments above i was seeing why he talked about his daughter but alot of people noticed

  • steve u da man dude..love the videos..the music u play in da videos SLAP.. like that brother lynch ...nice work bro..

  • Steve, you guys should look into a Norlok machine instead of spotwelding. Cleaner look and stronger.

  • Comment removed

  • nvm lol you is right, was spot welding

  • so instead of spot welding it and getting it done i should have stopped everything i was doing and had my company look into a norlock machine......hope THEY buy it, wait for it to get here, then use it a month later. All that instead of a few quality spot welds LOL. No thanks.

  • hahaha did anyone else hear the miley cirus in the background?

  • i hate miley cirus

  • HAHAHAHA WTF

  • @StreetRacingTuners damn right, i was wonderin why her music was playin in a shop full of dudes

  • lol ya

  • Your doing a nice job.

  • looking good looking good, shoulda done a before and after on the new lid before the damepening, just in case ppl haven't seen the one you did with the paint can. But its whatever lol.

  • just a lil concern... The batteries are hangin under the car, so they are gonna be exposed to rain, snow ect. Are u gonna be wrappin shiit around them or somethin to protect them? I highly recommend that you do. Other than that, this is an incredible build. Keep the video's comin.

  • i want sound dampening=[ haha

    very nice steve

  • lol steve you need to replace the battery in your smoke detector in your garage xD

  • sound pressure level

  • what does spl stand for ?

  • Sound Pressure Level

  • lookin good steve

  • Steve,I have mad respect for you, I think your a genius, and I always look foward to your videos...but please..CHANGE THE BATTERY IN YOUR SMOKE DETECTOR :)

  • P.S. Steve, I was one of those people asking about enclosing the battery rack to protect it from weather...

Just to let you know, I wasn't trying to be condescending, I mean OF COURSE you know what you're doing Lol... I wasn't trying to give you advice, quite the opposite, I was asking what exactly you planned on doing as I'm sure a lot of other guys did too..

Anyway, great little series you got going here with the build videos.. photos just don't cut it for me, try to get more footage in yo!

  • Pretty sure he's getting 4 new Fi Btl's.

  • yea i bet when the newER stuff comes out in six months he will be doin all this again...your the shit steve

  • man your bilding a monster my kid's dreme is your sistem can we com an se it we are from union city ca bay area

  • nvm lol i jus saw the vid that said 30k watt system

  • do u know how many watts for a fact hes gonna have in the tahoe..

  • very clean!

  • r u going to cover the under side of the bat rack? dont want a rock to fly up and crack a bat.

  • u should try som tec screws

  • Hey Steve, How many woofers are you gonna have in tha hoe? since you're gonna have 30,000 watts of power.

  • i think he might still keep 4

  • Que Biien!! ay vAmoS!!

  • yoo i kno wut u could do pre drill the holes for ur screws!!! and dey will go in

  • Nice as usual Steve!

  • they are totaly playing miley cyrus in the shop!!

  • looks nice steve are you going to put more batteries on top of the lid?

  • LMAO @ "it will rattle" not with 400+ lb of woofers and box ontop of it

  • now this is a second skin commercial man real life shit lol good to see you at ur job too bet they havent seen ya in a while lol

  • 30 000 watts is gonna make that rattle like shit dude i garantee that

  • dude that will rattle like fuck with that b line trust me

  • Steve, since you're working on these, we should get some civic demos.=]

  • nicely done again Steve....

  • lols at miley cyrus song at 30-36 seconds

  • what do u work as steve?

  • so where are the battery cables going to come up from?

  • at :36 miley cyrus is in the backround

  • No one cares -.-

  • hahaha

  • Part of not boxing in the frame underneath is so that a casual glance underneath shows the batteries and the ingenuity that went in the design. Though I suppose you could wrap the box underneath with Lexan so you could still see the batteries and seal them from the elements at the same time.

  • brotha lynch hung shits old school loc damn steve didnt know you listen the sac music

  • where do you think i live? and you know im old so im OLDSCHOOL!!! hahah :) :)

  • yeah but going by the demos never heard lynch in your ride season of the sickness tight cd i wish you would bang some old master p but if not its all good keep up the great vids steve

  • Yeah Steve just use self tapping screws ,but it will help to pilot drill just a bit smaller and i guarantee u those babies will go in, sheet metal can be a pain in the ass ...

  • shouldnt you daisey chain the batteries together before you seal up the top of that with weather seal?

  • what is that beeping noise lol

  • Okay i have 3 questions...first how are you gonna hook the batteries up to the amps if the batteries are completely sealed off. Second, hows is the subwoofer box gonna be right on top of the batteries?..And third, what about the seal for underneath the car, i thinks that what everybody is talking about..

  • pop rivits are better then screws and all you need to do is drill them out to open it up

  • When are you going to replace the batteries in that smoke detector!? I've been hearin' it chirp probably the past month...haha! Thanks for vlogging the battery box rebuid though!

  • You should put a couple hinges on that lid also if you haven't though about it.

  • thats his alarm system in his house i got the same thing :)

  • Oh, ok...cause it sounds just like the common smoke detector.

  • pop rivits

  • spot welds

  • hey steve quick question...

what are u gonna do to protect the batteries on the bottom side?

  • i'm sure he has a plan in place

  • WICKED bro can't wait to see the hoe done!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what exactly is your real job just curious????

  • he contractor remember his vid of blueprints :) and light bulbs

  • You cant never say he don't know what he doing i hope im as good as steve one day

  • steve man, looks great but i have a question. where is ur gas tank on a tahoe?

  • that looks outrageous dude. pretty fantastic. congratulations.

  • that looks like what i used to do spot weld and fab

  • wont that make a horrible rattle noise when subs are going?

  • no thats why hes screwing it down

  • no he put the second skin stuff on it which dampin's the noise so you wont gear shit

  • im sure hes got something in mind but regardless of what he does or how he does it u can guarantee its gonna look professional cause lets face it no one does it like steave meade he should have some sort of program on discovery channel or something like that

  • oh theres the insulation

  • Finally a vid i can understand!

  • chiiia!!!

  • hey?

  • some self tapping screws should eat through that metal nicely.

  • Thank you Meade! for going through all this trouble taking a video of everything.

You might as well get your own reality TV show. I'd watch it :)

  • 0:33 hannah montana .. hahaha nice song ;) Cant wait to see your new build steve!!!

  • Sick my dude!

  • TEK SCREWS FTW

  • Oh man this all technic is beautiful

  • i would forget the screws and drill your holes where you would put screws and use rivits then when you needed to open it up use a punch and a hammer to pop the rivits out or drill them out its quick and solid....but i still say you should sheet metal the inside of the batt box to protect them betterys and clean it up

  • id have thought along the lines of some sort of shell around the open areas of the battery tray in case bits were flying up as he was driving along pottentially damaging the batteries but im sure he knows exactly what hes doing im sure he might have something in mind

  • honestly i would have tryed to fab it to the body and brace it to the frame..so basicly clean up the inside and weld it solid from in the truck up top then have it go down and weld and mount it to the frame...but ya im still waiting to see whats next lol

  • where you gonna have the power and ground go through at?

  • looks good already

  • just a question but what is that second machine hes usin to join all the pieces together?

  • from what i know its called a spot welder .

  • That was a good solution to the "hole problem".. but I wonder will you put damplifier all over the tahoe in the future :?

  • Dat shit is sick man, where were d fuel tanks on dose?

  • Doesn't that smoke detector piss you off chirping all the time ?

  • hannah montanna

  • i hear some brotha lynch in the background.

  • thats the shit lov it it steve!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice :)
