The Orcish Horde started the war by crossing through the dark portal from Draneor to Azeroth they had been cursed with bloodlust by the burning legion. The Alliance was fighting to defend itself. But the orcs bloodlust faded away overtime and now their good. But many members of the alliance still have grudges against the horde because of what they have destroyed in the past. And thats why the war rages on. Not because alliance attacked silly.
