@Clau82fi I think the priest was so moved by the situation that he forgot what to say in the blessing. He therefore turned arround, in desparation, and looked at the queen, who helped him back on track.

I noticed in attendance at the funeral there were both the King & Queen of Sweden and the King & Queen of Norway.  What if any are their connection to the royal family of Denmark.

@FergusMcDopey It was my understand that Princess Ingrid was Danish not Swedish. Wasn't the funeral held in Denmark? . I noticed the Danish Queen wearing a black head scarf, yet the Queen's of Norway and Sweden don't have their faces covered in lace.

@20031200 Queen Ingrid of Denmark was born Princess of Sweden. Daughter to King Gustaf VI Adolf, Mother to the danish regent Queen Margrethe II and paternal aunt to the swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf. The funeral was held in Roskilde in Denmark where she was laid to rest beside her husband, the late danish King Frederik IX.

@20031200 The swedish King is Queen Margrethes cousin. The norwegian Kings great grandfather was danish prince but became King of Norway in 1905.
