  • r those dead bodies on the ground? wtf?

  • I wish I worked security for Fanshawe/Stinson. I would have arrested you for Obstructing a Peace Officer or just told you to leave and arrested you Trespassing under the TPA when you didn't.

  • your a fuckin goof, straight up

  • hey its Jamie LOL or as we call him J-Dog

  • This is very disrespectful to the families of the dead soldiers. How dare you use their names for your protest. If you want to use their names you should each one of those soldiers families and ask permission. You are allowed to protest, but not when it impedes other to make decisions for themselves.

  • You'll note that the recruitment table wasn't blocked... in fact, people were talking to the recruiters as the protestors staged their die-in.

  • And whats your response on the disgraceful act of using my fallen comrades names, to give weight to your protest.

  • I don't have one. Canadian soldiers have died. If you guys in the CF and parliament want to cover that up, pretend it didn't happen, or ignore it, that's your business.

  • I'm pretending it didn't happen at all. You are forgetting the CF doesn't choose where it goes, the government does. I know they died, but how dare you and your friends use their names for your own political gains. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

And yes you do have a right to protest, its just the fact that you are doing it in a manner that is disrespectful.

  • Pretending it didn't happen, while more Canadians and countless more Afghanis die... great strategy.

Anyway, it's hardly for our political gain. I can't point to a single thing I've gained (beyond friends) from being a part of the anti-war movement. The second there's a legitimate invite from the people of Afghnaistan, we'll stop. And not an invite from an artificially propped up parliament 3 years after the war began.

  • Ok.. so the recruitment tables weren't blocked. You're still trespassing. Still breaking the law.

And seriously... you're just making an ass of yourselves lying on the ground. CONVINCE me with real facts of why the army is bad as opposed to lying on the ground. That would be more effective than lying on the ground.

  • Trespass to Property Act Ontario 1980

    Learn it...

You committed a prohibited act on private property. The school said that your little protest was not allowed, thus, it became prohibited. They asked you to stop and you didn't. You then became subject to arrest.

Fanshawe college has Law Enforcement students, don't they!? I'm sure those students are really embarrassed by the ignorance of the other students involved.

Being a student of the school doesn't mean you still can't trespass!!!!

  • Precedent however dictates the students weren't trespassing... there was an identical case last year and the charges were dropped.

Anyway, I've read the Trespass to Property Act Ontario 1980, and I'd like you to show me where in there it justifies the actions of the police.

  • (b) a person who has responsibility for and control over the condition of premises or the activities there carried on, or control over persons allowed to enter the premises, (ie school administration, security)

    Trespass an offence

    2. (1) Every person who is not acting under a right or authority conferred by law and who,

    (a) without the express permission of the occupier, the proof of which rests on the defendant,

  • (i) enters on premises when entry is prohibited under this Act, or

(ii) engages in an activity on premises when the activity is prohibited under this Act; or

    (b) does not leave the premises immediately after he or she is directed to do so by the occupier of the premises or a person authorized by the occupier,

is guilty of an offence and on conviction is liable to a fine of not more than $2,000.

  • Arrest without warrant on premises

    9. (1) A police officer, or the occupier of premises, or a person authorized by the occupier (ie campus security) may arrest without warrant any person he or she believes on reasonable and probable grounds to be on the premises in contravention of section 2. R.S.O. 1990, c. T.21, s. 9 (1).

  • Oh and just so you know precedent does not apply in provincial court. Each case is weighed on its own merits, and just because, your friends got off last time, does not mean it will happen again. And for the record, using the names of dead soldiers, my comrades is disgusting and disgraceful. You want to use their names, ask their families first, just don't be surprised when they tell you to frig off.

  • You people fucking disgust me..Get a life

"Excuse me sir, are you assaulting me?" Cry me a fucking river man.
