  • Dubai, cidade do futuro, vou sai dessa merda desse brasil!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • it makes me sad that i wont be alive long enough to all this come true

  • the arabs and and were smart people little money has limited ther tallents but it can only be hidden for so long :)

  • what the fuck? the city grew faster then when america developed! 10 years apart TEN YEARS???? this makes me rethink how long it took to make the pyrimids..

  • do they still pay for students to attend here, I would go, even though I hate the heat, but give them a few more years and they will have even the clouds air conditioned>

  • I think dubai beleves the worlds full of millionares. Take a look around, we are all broke. Dubai already has problems due to lack of tourists...

  • This is going to come back and bite the hell out of Dubai. Probably not in my lifetime but growth this fast cannot be sustained. Something will collapse and bring it all down. Just like what's happening here in America - finally.

  • @ColeFried81 silly reason lol :P

  • tehy should make the rest of the world look like this

  • some random camel at the end thats awesome. do they take kindly to tourists? a white female who isnt muslim? just wondering, cos i really wanna go

  • @Xeidasx I your'e prepared to sell your house and family, sure. Its very expensive. If you're a millionare, then you should be fine, though =P

  • really dubai is the most wonderful within the world.....

  • I think it's really cool they're building all this in one city, but really? I addded up all the price tags of the projects in this video, 1.5 TRILLION dollars! that's a little crazy.

  • Lol It's easy to find out which comments were posted by Americans '^^

  • and now think if they will run out of oil they wont be able to supply themselves with water

  • There must be somthing wrong with my eyes because I thought I saw the word "spaceport" in this video

  • i like dubai,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • i dont care how many skyscrapers they build new york city will always out do some desert

  • @MRINSIDE360 who do you think runs new york or the united states? dont tell me americans...... if you think so, do your homework. with your arrogant comments, you have probably never been to dubai, or probably never left your moms basement ... DID YOU READ THE STATS THAT WERE SAID IN THE VIDEO???? are you sleeping?? dont say they are not credible, do your homework again... i have been all over the world to many different continents and i can tell you NOW!! THESE ARABS DONT PLAY AROUND!

  • @loopsterman sorry for voicing my opinion oh yeah i have been to dubai and its not that great

  • @MRINSIDE360 nah... i been to NY whilst it was very beautiful it was run down even in the luxury areas.. Dubai's ghetto is worth 50 grand a month

  • Shame on Dubai, it used 65,000 slaves to build its current skyline. They were kept segregated from the rest of the population. Tax the rich, otherwise democracy fails! The only jobs wealthy people create are minimum wage.... save a few overly paid lawyers, and accountants.

  • @edwinstar100 it didnt use slaves you TWAT! it contracted over 50 thousand south africans, koreans and many other people from other countries to help the build AND YES THEY WERE PAID YOU TIT!

so please take your bs comments elsewhere...

  • @loopsterman Why the name calling, my comments are as valid as yours. You are acting like a bully. To me, your vision for the world looks like a gated community, where everyone suspects and distrusts the other and all of you know that you have taken more than your share or more than you deserve. love you, E-star

  • No ones talking about Saudi Arabia either haha. Let's forget about it and just be friends angry Internet guy.

  • @alagodny *facepalm* its not in saudi arabia you mongo

  • it seems to me only the super rich will be able to live in Dubai.

  • Dubai is awful.

  • @oday215 ..... first i am a girl second don't come to dubai if u don't like it ...so easy

  • Comment removed

  • @oday215 WTF ... u guyz are talking about UAE !!!!!!! like u goo work their and enjoy the luxury life down their and u come her talk about UAE .. stop Fucking off ... as if UK or ANY of European and American life is better than that !!! ... • @Jazialjbori sir living in UK is better, sorry 2 say.

  • @freestylemusicleolat 'living in UK is better', is it joke or somethin'? I live in UK (unfortunately) and I've been in Dubai this year, seriously, you can't compare UK to Dubai

  • @gardinustaung no kidding lol. World's largest this, world's largest that, world'slargest blah, blah, blah, its like he WANTS us to know XD

  • @GrimmieXII they are just trying to be better then america and look whats happening.everything is breaking down.the palm islands are sinking at the blah blah very tall hotel is sinking also.hahahahah.we didnt become great over night like they are trying to be.

  • You've Done A Spelling Mistake. HUH? Yaipai 101? Taipei 101. You Should Check That.

  • magnificent ... but who's gonna pay the entry fee to the amusement park when everyone is babkrupt ?

  • its like sometime in like twenty years from now all the building are abandoned because of debt, but like they care...SPEND ALL YA WANT DUBAI!

  • @xxxRCT3FREAKxxx ya i hope thats what happens, i also read their oil reserves will be dry somewhere between 20-25 years from now haha.... but oil is only 5% of cash flow and income in the city.. every thing you just seen kid is real estate and thats their #1 bussiness. they will only get richer and gayer cus out of 1,700,000 poeple 400,000 are woman and 66% of those woman are married 15% are children so fuck that shit only 19% of 400,000 is single to a high ratio of men.... gay gay gay gay gay

  • @oday215 '''''''''''''''' first how do u know that mother fucker ,do u know that 37% of men getting married with women out of uae like another arabic contries u stupid and i am one of them. i think u just twat jealous

  • @Hagfold80 jealous of what? i am arabic and i couldnt live there till there is more of a way of life. in dubai there is no agriculture, the people there live a non social life. humans are social people. most of the people in that city are employees of outsourced construction companies. fuck that im happy here in the US. u obviously have sexual issues. u are 1 of the 37% of men that are getting married. how about the rest? fucktard u defeated ur own argument. gay ass bitch cant even spell. idiot

  • @oday215 exactly u dont see normal single women in dubai, the dating scene is not so actually, but the prostitutes are in abdundance!..now fuck that..dubai suxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @freestylemusicleolat haha i bet so, u live there or somethin?

  • @oday215 nah never wanted to live there, just had a few work related trips 2 dat stinky city, and now no more, good riddance!...hate that place!..just racism and arrogance, and its SOUL-LESS!

  • Always this is western people will react when they see someone is better than them. Well it's just because they always though that they were the best in the world. What a shame! They are just nothing at all.

  • 60 Billion Dollar Debt for one city. More than some countries...

  • Built using slave labour! They should be ashamed of themselves and everyone that has moved there . I hope the economic crisis brings it to its knees. HUMANITY must come first. Slave labour is not acceptable anywhere. check out Amnesty's website to see the number of abuses. Plus the number of human rights abuses.. SHAME ON YOU

  • @adaminhoxton

well dude just to clarify those workers came willingly and want to stay and agreed on the wages. The west already has slave countries through the IMF,World Bank where they print paper money and the third world people think its actually worth something and take it and then have to repay with interest by actually earning it with commodities(ie rice, corn, gold, silver, oil)

which is why a lot of africans countries are poor by the way.

  • this city is going to be number but the arb law and cultuer is not number one the r very selfish ppl and there is not save any more to buy property

  • this city is going to be number one or two in world ... i love it ...

  • but who trust dubai agin to buy and property there ....

  • Sudden city indeed.

  • What music is it??

  • Bangladesh contribute hundreds of thousand of skille workers all around the world.though they are some not high education but the hardwork and gaining experience theyve got.

  • I can tell you this much, Dubai was not like this when I was there back in the early 90s, lol. Just a really big sand box back then. But it was cool, I enjoyed my times in port there.

  • does anyone else find it funny that the music is Cry for me Argentina?? LOL

  • Yes, I too find that funny.

  • I wonder if it would even be posible to build those buildings at 6:42

  • @1thetweekmaster

i work near by this place , it will be builton islands called lagoon islands. but no construction yet

  • Dubai is a cool place in all, but there fucking up there economy making it a cool place

  • Its actually kinda funny that EVERY SINGLE nation in the WORLD can use they're natural resources without any complain, but somehow when it comes to an ARAB country, it becomes controversial.

The ottomon empire, the byzintine empire, all these empires survived for Hundreds of decades, and now Muslims are back on track to creating another empire.

Just read the Quran, you will see,Muslims are happy without the money, but still,Allah has blessed us with it. All praise and glory be to him.

  • AAA IMA BUY THE FINLAND ISLAND!

  • lol 1990 nothing there

  • the future as we know it

  • lol love the camel at the end XD

  • watch all of this hard work on making such beautiful buildings be torn down like the wtc. then dubai will be one of the poorest cities ever known.

  • wonderful, i hope my country will have a leader like Dubai have. Mabuhay!

  • they has much oil..dubai is oil country...its not about leader..all leader in the world just great..but dubai has plus point..hehe :)

  • but my goverment was so corrupt. im from the Philippines and the issue of corruption is to high. but most of us Pinoy (the ordirary) can not do any thing coz were don't have unity reguarding what to do to correct what we know is wrong. hayyyyy....

  • @loboyving anyone fascinated with Dubai should read "The Dark Side of Dubai" at Independentdotcom. Bet you won't be fascinated anymore...

  • This is a very good educational video about Dubai, U.A.E.

  • If anybody wants to know the background music is from the album called "Ocarina" by

    Diego Modena & Jean-Philippe Audin...

  • r they giving citizenship on there reply pls

  • lol these people are so full of them selves they don't give Citizens to anyone.

they beleave that they r superior to everyone in the world becouse they have money. i delt with people from the UAE.

  • UAE like most other countries only gives out citizenship to people who won't be drains on the system. If you have no investment money to speak of, no marketable skills, etc, you really don't have any place in the UAE.

Not to be elitist, but since the number of people the UAE can accomodate is at a premium, you can't expect to get citizenship without proving you would be a worthwhile addition, especially since now there are so many people lined up waiting with already stunning qualifications.

  • @Rereversed i don't even like the UAE, the Arabs of the UAE are all Traitors who care for nothing other than money, they have no place in Jerusalem or islamic holy places thats for sure.

  • They are allowed to be there if they are tourists. If they wanted to live there they would have to follow standard immigration procedures just like everyone else.

  • @Rereversed They Israeli ZGovernment will allow them but who told u that the Palistinian's will allow them to entyer Al Aqsa, we see the UAE as Allies to Israel who, Palistinian Civilians will never allow UAE people to enter our holy Mosque.

  • this is a great achievment. the people of UAE and there investors have planned everything down to the last detail. The palms, the world, and all of the tall constuction projects will be looked at in the same light as the great pyramids. Nothing in the history of man kind compares to this. So i think they did what they set out to do. Make this the vacation capital of the world. Some of the projects are things that has never been accomplished. Lets hope a natural disaster never happens there.

  • whoa... thats like so much ... too much... its like the world.... in dubai... but it is just too much for dubai... not everyone could afford to live there... what about the poor people??? i like there awesome architectures and amazingly humungous buildings...but cant we focus on what is vitally needed now... well if they can give the people under poverty those homes... well why not... hehehe... too much is not good....

  • even for the US!?...yeah right the country which borrows money from china and saudi arabia to keep on living wastefully...yeah maybe not possible for them.

the point is dubai has so much resources, which allows them to have so much wealth. so obviously those super rich want to stay rich after oil is finished.

it is not that difficult to make money, when you have tons of money already. some people were born with a golden shoe.

  • I thought we all were born shoes free.

  • foreigners from germany, netherland and other places builded all this. they just have the money...how can you be so proud? Every country could do that with so much money.

  • Yep. They are using all they have for this project. They might rob themself in the end, but it's better then going bankrupt from an over used oil supply. Which their economy is based on. Not all countries can do this. This is all expensive. Even for the US.

  • Venezuela has probable more money than they have and look .. people starving and full od violence and corruption..its not all about the money is all about managment and intelligence

  • Well, seeing that Venezuela has 4 times as many people, 1/5 the GDP per person as the UAE, and less oil exports, I'm not so sure. Foreign workers in Dubai, who mostly come from India, Bangladesh, etc live in horrible conditions. Actual citizens only make up 1/6 of the countries population.

  • great!but what the f**k with this shitty maya-an music...

  • and all this for what ??... i will never be there.. this is a crazy world... what about all the hungry people ??

  • i wouldn't give a crap about what other peopel say about me if that was my country :D

  • cant wait to be there..

  • yaipei 101

  • I don't beleive that whole moon thing....you can barley see most things from the moon..

  • visible from the moon? really? but it's gonna be so tiny from up there for sure.

    genius though.

  • Comment removed

  • all that is tru a.d most of that is already made... New bigger projects are on the way... I live in Dubai

  • man all I see is "the worlds biggest, the worlds largest, the worlds tallest .." this shit is crazy !!!

  • omg...

  • i believe this can be done. if the economy gets better and they resume construction at the rate is was before they can easily acheive all this and even more. just twenty years ago dubai was just sand, look at it now.

  • dam this shit is nice. but i dont belive u is that is 2 good 2 be true

  • its true...i was there in 1996 and back last year...man dramatic development..

  • I don't find happiness in MONEY ! like uat da fac m8s ?

  • this means the intoxication of the world by human kind .

if you can , you destroy the last resort of natural by making it artificial . do it . and then see your grand nephews how are struggling to find something that you have made not but taken .

  • the largest and the longest indoor ski facility is in the suburbs of moscow.

  • Where are the occupants for this city of buildings???

  • wtf? is this real? am I dreaming? Is this a prank? Is this a movie?

  • i would love to live there! just i hope terrorists don't ruin the city...

  • ...wtf?....

  • A remarkable, but hot and dusty place, nevertheless.

  • they are crazy

  • Wow is all I can say. I can't even comprehend of all the projects that are happening over there like the Disney parks, largest shopping mall and buildings that is going to be taller then the Burj Dubai? I'm in shock.

It would be so great to be able to work there for a few years or even live there. I want to have a holiday there one day, but I'll need to go there like 25 times or even more to see everything it has to offer. And the camel at the end haha, nice touch. Great work, keep it up.

  • it's tapai 101 not yapai 101

  • WHO CARES?

  • your still wrong its Taipei 101

  • what the hell is Taipei???? I want to go to Dubai!!!

  • these are all amazing projects without a doubt. from a designers point of view, im not sure how beneficial it is to have so many great designs adjacent to one another. its almost like they are competing and that takes some of the richness way in my opinion.

  • They add to each other. Would you have a very modern kitchen and a bathroom from the 1960's?

  • they need to help america build some buildings

  • Aren't they worried that fundamentalists will regard it as too western and try to destroy it?

  • 111FALCON1111 thats for you.

  • Comment removed

  • Buildings don't make cities, people do...

  • Dubai, we miss you!

  • What's the title of the first piece of the background music?

    Who are the performers?

  • The former WTB is Taipei 101 not Yaipei 101.

  • i wanna ride a camel there 8:14 roaming the streets of dubai someday.

  • Great video - really interesting - Dubai looks like the place to be!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey guyz.. !

Im from dubai and if anyone has any questions just tell me !.. Ill be happy to answer!

  • how much does it cost usd to live there

  • can i have my money back for riping all us westerns off that those bullshit prices on gas last year?

  • lmao? you think there is unlimited oil in our world?

  • course not

  • Dude, once the oil runs out it won't matter. Look what they've done in such short time. Dubai is probably already self-sustaining. When they are finished there (which will probably never happen) no amount of oil shortage would ever make any difference.

  • Do you peolpe use money to wipe your ass?

  • something like that!

    were just too damn rich!

    im jelous of my self!

    lmao

  • No. We pay people like you money to lick it clean.

  • Dirty fucking muslim. You sand niggers have been slaves to the west a life time. Dont think we would be up for licking any ass. Why dont you ask your mother. She will do it for you.

  • Well you have a fucking religon too. If thats how you like it.The terroist did this not us.We are humans not slave so shut your mouth and talk about another religon already!

  • Gosh, if there is one nation in the middle east that has used their oil wealth to help their own people then it is the UAE. GDP per capita is like $40K, student teacher ration is 12/1. Were it not for oil their land would offer practically nothing. Yet they may have found a way to create a lasting post-oil economy by becoming the world's getaway playground. They are hoping to educate their way into a high-tech economy for their future. You are proof we don't educate our kids as well.

  • are there tourists already there

  • Dubai really is one of one the marvels of engineering in the world...but what will happen to these structures, especially the artificial islands, if (when?) global warming causes the sea level to rise?

  • sin duda las mejoras construcciones estan aqui...espero conocer pronto los emiratos!!!

  • Yaipei 101 its taipei 101

  • I paid for this. So did you.

    Alternative energy NOW!!!

  • the money come from the oil of the country, they unic economic resourse, thats way they want to build a city of turism

  • music sucks!!

  • Wonder where they got the money to do all that?...think about it!

  • i live in dubai i c only cranes and other stuff in night

  • I live in dubai, it's growing SUPPER fast. CONSTRUCTION EVERYWHERE!

  • I might be going to Dubai with my friend. I hope so cuz its the number one place I want to visit in the world.

  • algeria next ha ha lol

  • Im 15 so if I get some money wheni am older i am going to go there and itll be insane when i go cause thatll be in like 20 years

  • anyone could talk about human rights and workers contracts in dubai? what is the price of all this?

how much is the average payment of a worker in dubai?

  • MOST of the workers building this city are poor people from near by countries. Their passports are seized as soon as they enter the country/city so that they can't leave or escape. After their shift they go to concentration camp-like communities and can't leave. It's the closest thing to slave labor in the industrialized world.

  • Even though I am a huge fan and student of Architecture, I did find one little err on your report. About the spaceport, there already is one being constructed in New Mexico, where the first man made spacecraft was flown.

  • nice

  • Frank Lloyd Wright designed the tallest building in the world before he passed away. Now it is in Dubai! The only thing is that Wright did not have the World Trade Center 911 lesson to learn from, people got trapped in the single core, single tower building and died-2,700 of them in WTC! But this architect, I do not know his name, just copied Wright's design without using his head which the client has paid for! The answer is simple: sky-bridges connecting multi-towers!STUPID!---dancewu(dot)net

  • Wright's design was called The Illinois, a ridiculous mile high skyscraper that couldn't have been built for two reasons. First, building materials are STILL too heavy to support the weight of such a high stucture, let alone back then. The building would collapse in on itself. Second, double decker elevators weren't invented yet so in Wright's building elevators took up all the interior space of the bottom portions of the tower, defeating the purpose of a highrise in the first place.

  • And what the hell are you on about with the WTC? Skybridges would only foolproof skyscrapers if they connected to the adjacent towers on EVERY floor, which would no longer be a bridge but instead would combine all the sections in to ONE tower. Also, even if the Twin Towers had been connected by a skybridge, what if the plane had taken IT out as well? And the people ABOVE the impact levels would still be unable to reach the bridge as many counldn't go DOWN the building. Seriously, shut up.

  • umh! YOU,A 21 YEARS OLD! WHEN WRIGHT WAS YOUR AGE,HE JUST QUITTED THE ENGINEERING SCHOOL IN HIS LAST YEAR IN COLLEGE, AND WENT TO WORK FOR ADLER AND SULLIVAN IN CHICAGO,HIMSELF A VERY TALENTED DESIGNER SLAPPED A JEW ON HIS RED-FACED DURING AN ARGUMENT IN THE OFFICE. THE JEW PROBABLY YELLED AT HIM TO "SHUT UP!"OR SOMETHING. HAHAHA!---DANCEWU(DOT)NET

  • Are you retarded?

  • dubai makes the united states look poor :p

  • i have a funny feeling that dubai is going to turn into a country and nuke everyone else....

  • What are you talkin about "turn into a country" it already is a country.

  • No, it's a city... it's located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) =)
