That's a very good point. There's transcriptions of just about every other bone player, but good luck trying to find any of urbie's stuff... maybe because the whole transcription book would have to be written with ledger lines or in tenor/alto clef. ;P
Urbie , in my opinion is the greatest of all time.He proved it on the Umpteen trombones album when he had all of the greats playing with him.He is sound is just butter.
Damn right, Urbie is on the top of my list! I also cant believe no one has ever transcribed his solos.
