i agree, film is an art but it's a very difficult art cause while all film is technically art, it doesnt necessarily mean its all good art. just like like those splotches of paint on an otherwise blank canvas, sure its art but its crap. i guess that's all my opinion tho. so if you truly do wish your video to be an art form, approach it as so. try and make it creative and use interesting techniques, etc. instead of those guys that just fling the paint at the canvas and sell it for $2000/170,000¥
Yes that is true except in our cases I professional film can be worth more even if it is utter crap! Which is why we have got to do our best and pour ourselves into those films through our filming, editing, etc. :D
yeah we talking bout different things here... a little. i think banging on pots and pans or beat boxing is amazing, but also great composers r fantastic..... all i did for my video was head out with my Cam on a fine day.... i had no idea what kinda shots i was going to get, but we are sournded with magic... the most important thing is where the soul is @.i really look forward to you vid you sound like you have a more apt mind for this kinda thing than i do.... Blaze it up guy!!!
I agree with you still though... And sometimes the best things come out of you when you least expect it. I just liked how your video was so real and raw I guess in the way that it really represented you as a person which made it really meaningful. No one operates the same way though so your films will be thought up and created differently from mine or other Youtubers or well known directors/writers like Quentin Tarantino. We could all make a film on the same subject and they'd be different! :)
Hey man:) stumbled across this randomly. A couple of things. I can hook you up with a pretty decent teaching job (If youre in Tokyo?) and also.... Transitions:( i dont see many movies or powerful videos that rely on star wipes and effects. I am also frustrated (F^_^ING FRUSTRATED) with my lack of technology, but artistic expression should always make a way no matter the obstacles. im interested in seeing what youve got. Show me whats in your mind/heart and I will enjoy it:)
