I think its just a case of lifting your notes. I know you cant really smile but you still have to lift the notes. Also, it could just be the playback, no one sounds better on tape then live. :)
Nicely done! The tuning was pretty good. You nailed the line "the seas were rough". You may want to watch your tempo, though. It sped up in places where it really didn't need to be faster. Actually, in general this song is supposed to be sung a lot slower, because at fast tempos it becomes almost dancelike. Also, try putting more into your crescendos, and hush a LOT on the line, "frozen in this lonely grave".

But the blend here is excellent, you have a great sound.

something about the way you open your mouths when you sing, it loses the sweetness of the words, like its too operatic or something?
