  • great job

  • anyway, if u want to cover the song - u can try. but i finished music school (7 years, violin), and for my ears its sounds extraordinary.. )

  • @ergolam Hey, extraordinary works for me! Why would I want to play it like everyone else? Just because you cover a song doesn't mean you have to play it note for note, or chord for chord, especially in country music. BTW, most country artists probably never went to music school. Most in Hank's day didn't even read music! I've played by ear all my life. I never went to music school per se. I have taken a few jazz and classical lessons. I can read tab, and decipher music, but mostly play by ear.

  • why he is playing minor chords? there are no minor chords in that song !

  • @ergolam I play the minor chord because it sounds good to my ears. Just because other people don't use that chord doesn't mean it doesn't work.

  • A great video and the black and white works, Jack. I've grown to love this song.

    Another great find from Hankwilliams1924

  • 5 star and shared

  • Awesome singing and guitar playing! Sounded really good! God Bless and Best Wishes!

  • Great Job as usual! I never knew Hank did this originally - interesting.

  • Excellent performance, Jack. The black and white worked well, too.

  • Great song, enjoyed it

  • Jack, you're absolutely the best!

  • Wow! You must see something in me I've never noticed! Blessings on you, and to God be the glory! I appreciate the encouragement!

  • So sad that despite this testimony, Hank WIlliams died a drunk...

  • Indeed, that is very sad, but even with that, there is still hope. Samson had a problem with alcohol as well if you'll recall, let alone a certain woman. And in the end he committed suicide, asking the Lord to avenge him for his eyes. He is mentioned among other witnesses and heroes of great faith in Hebrews 11. We don't know what was in Hank's heart the night he died, and the Lord sees not as man sees. We'll probably be surprised in the end who ends up in heaven, and who doesn't.

  • And still mega awesome.

  • Scott, you're something else! But, I'm still glad your encouragement! You're awesome!

  • that was a blessing Jack,,,brings back very very good memories!

    5 stars!!

  • Glad to have stirred those memories up for you! Good memories are a real blessing.

  • Great job Jack.... I really enjoyed it!

  • great cover of a classic old Hank sr song ..very nice!

  • Awesome!!

  • Yes it is! A friend at work sold it to me for $50. I didn't realize you could get them for $99 brand new! I figured I'd make a few videos with it and then sell it. I like the way it looks. It doesn't sound bad either for a plywood guitar!

  • Awesome, Jack! Very nice video too! (*^^*)

  • Haven't heard this oldie but goody for awhile, myself. 5 +++ STARS! Fabulous job! :)

  • Thanks for singing that happy ol tune. Black & white is good. Fav, Mary

  • A great ole favorite of mine and you did a great job on it Jack. 5's and enjoyed this one very much. Like the Epiphone! THANKS ALOT JACK, C.W.
