hey, i got a VX48 with 2 bearded dragons in, bought secondhand, and i was wondering, how exactly do you get the lid off to access the wire gaps at the back? i want to put a heatmat in but cant figure out how to get the lid off :(
@OreosRYum yep it goes on the floor, it won't burn the geckos because it should be controlled by a thermostat. It could be dangerous without one for your geckos. Thanks, we like making the videos!!
Hello there, Ive just received this Vivarium after ordering it only 2 days ago, but im not sure how i attach the Vivarium's stand to the actual viv, with the metal dowel's :\ the video skips the bit on how you get the black metal dowel's onto the top of the vivarium, please help :S
Anyone had problems with fitting a lock for this exact viv i got one off These for my ball python and need to fit a lock the standard ones dont fit coz the glass is quite close together if any one knows off a lock and were i can get one please reply :)
@ReptileCentre But wouldnt you have to place to heat mat inside the viv under the substrate?? - what if the substrate was wet - could that be dangerous?
@billzila1 you wouldn't ever have a substrate that wet. In, say a terrarium where you have wet moss, the heat mate would go on the side wall rather than underneath it.
Hi, I dunno if youve seen the set up film with Lois Hook, i assume u have, but I was just wonderin: At her video she has some sort breathing-holes in the wall of the viv for the dragon. I guess she made them by herself? Is this really necessary? I assume the dragon can still breathe without these holes?
@Elvar96 all vivs need ventilation. It's not just about the animal being able to breath. Without ventilation a bearded dragon vivarium will get too humid, the air could become stagnant and the animals could suffer from respiratory problems
@ReptileCentre HELP! I need to ask a question. first of all im about to buy a vivaruim for my Breaded Dragon, and im wondering where does the heat mat go? inside will be desert sand some rocks and caves and branches (dried) and of course UVB Lamps.... Does it go under the sand? HELP?!
@jrcash1234 hi, yes this viv is large enough for an adult Royal no problem. And I assure you the viv is easier to put together than Duncan made it look!!
If i put a Heat mat inside the viv, wont it burn the snake?
PurpleDesigns 2 months ago
@PurpleDesigns we only use mats for light body snakes like corns, kings, milks etc. and they are on a thermostat so the temperature is regulated.

ChrizG156 4 months ago
@ChrizG156 we use the mats inside the viv, under the substrate and only with a thermostat

ReptileCentre 6 months ago
@OreosRYum no, the glass just slides open, doesn't need the indents. Heat mats go inside the vivarium and there are gaps for the wires to go through

BeardedDragon1018 9 months ago
@BeardedDragon1018 yes, when you build it there are spaces at the back to run wires through for any lighting or heating

@londnlad the problem is most locks have a kink in them for some reason. I sometimes straighten them out with a set of pliers and a strong arm
