Hi, this worked for my laptop portal. I came in this AM and none of the USB devices (mouse, keyboard or additional monitor would work) my laptop only has 2 USBs. I just unplugged and replugged in the portal and now they all work. THANKS!!!!

ok ok let me teach you guys first if the comp doesnt recognize the USB or any type of revovable drives on your pc then update it if it still having problems then back up your files and reformat it then update again it actually depends on your hard drives and compatibility of it to your comp so try uptading and upgrading your pc or buy onother one thats it its soo simple if it still doest work... a virus scan wouldnt hurt ....... ^ ^

@MrPeacecool First ensure that you do not need any additional drivers or software for the interface. Google your phone make and model to find more information (assuming you didn't receive any literature with the cable / phone) If you are not able to find a solution there, then it may be a compatibility issue with your computers OS ensure that applicable drivers are updated / windows updates etc. Best of luck with your problem. Problems like this is part of the reason why I love my dumb phone :)
