  • How do the electric cutouts work?

  • Robbiee11 must have a pusstang! My buddy 94 5.0 with heads cam n a blower put down 299 to the wheels lol. My bolt on 01 Ws6 put down 335 to the wheels

  • hows the ground clearance with the cutouts behind the headers. mine might be a tad bit higher cuz its an lt1 camaro. and if you don't mind me asking how much for the labor on the cutouts i have 2 waiting to go in. BTW sound sick!!!

  • what size cutout are you using?

  • debating on a 6.0 or 6.2 can u give me some advice on your setup tryn to get 5+ to the wheels thnx nice cae btw

  • @JNutttz an lq4 truck motor with l92 heads and a decent cam will make 550 to the crank easy

  • does the car have cats?

  • what do cut outs do anyway?

  • more like 300 hp in that chicken

  • @robbiee11 This car had more than 300 hp from the factory with exhaust manifolds...lol

  • wow amazing car i hate you lol very nice car bro.

  • Beautiful !

  • Bad Ass WS6!!

  • oopsie i just made a stcky in my panty

  • damn man, they make those for high performance boats too, there pretty fuckin sick. especially for those late nights and you have to be "quiet". haha nice trans man.

  • cutouts will not lock up your computer. Electronic ones are nice but they are expensive. You can get manual ones, but you will have to reach under the car and take the plate off when you want to open and close it. It is connected with like three butterfly nuts.

  • Thanks alot for the help!! Bad ass TA by the way man!

  • @thunder0880 *wing nuts

  • Can someone help me out?? i have a trans am ws6 and i wana put cutouts in it but my mechanic said he wont do it because they will lock my computer up. is that true or is there somthing i have to buy to work with the cut outs? thanks alot!

  • tell your mechanic to stop smoking crack. go ahead and install a cutout, you'll love it.

  • what cam and heads do you have??

  • sick bird

  • how big is ur cam and wht kind of head do u have look at my vid of my trans am

  • sickest thing i've ever seen

  • all of us aholes like proof! we all like to talk shit,so please show the numbers! 25 hp!dyno runs include proof, dont they? all of us talk shit , but only because any jerkoff could say they gained 100hp from a cat back system! prove it!

  • It's not uncommon for a stock displacement, bolt on LS1 car to pick up 10-15 hp and lb-ft with a cutout. Take into account the extra cubes of that motor, and I think it's entirely possible

  • WS6 BITCHES!!

  • feel free to embarass ricers on command.

  • Hey i'm thinking about trading my GTP in for an 01 WS.6 and I had a question about the spoiler. The spoiler on the WS.6 I'm looking at is 'on' the car, it's not raised like yours (or any other WS.6 I've seen) was the 'raised' spoiler an option or something?

  • No it wasn't an option on the ws6. There were 2 different types of ws6's made. The trans am version and the formula version. The regular formulas and the v6 version had the low spoiler. The trans ams had the high spoiler. To my knowledge there weren't very many ws6 formulas made. Check the RPO codes on the door to make sure. If ya see WS6 in there its a real one.

  • Are you sure its an '01. I could be wrong but I thought they still made the Formula WS6 until 2000. Someone else might know.

  • hunchback is wrong and right with what he said, every ws6 came with the "ram air hood, and raised spoiler" unless it was a convertible ws6, then it had the lower spoiler, so basically unless it's a convertible, the guy lied to you, it's most likely a base trans am

  • Ok good, it's a convertible. And accodring to the VIN it is a real WS6. Thanks for the help.

  • No problem, enjoy your ws6, I know you'll love it :D By the way, is it a 6 speed or an auto? Either way you'll love it, I had a stock auto until I put a shift kit and a better valve body, really livened it up.

  • it would be a formula, not a base trans am. base t/a is the same as a ws6 in apearance but with 16" wheels and a flat hood...

  • I love Trans Am's....better than a Camero too bad they discontinued..

  • lol the camaro better becuase if there was no camaro there never would have been a firebird or ttrans am

  • you win lol

  • what do you mean lol its the truth look it up

  • Well they both came out the same year. Camaros/Firebirds/TA's are basically the same throughout the entire 35 years. Only real difference is ram air and chevy gave you different factory gear settings.

I'm sure there are other diff's but you see my point.

  • wow i'm impressed that ported 243's made that much power what are they milled to and whats the runner cc's?

  • its a built 408 gm iron block from tsp. ported 90mm fast, custom grind comp cam, and ported ls6 heads.

  • Nice car man. What heads/cam/intake are you running? Whats your rotating assembly consist of?

  • I do post on ls1tech but not that much. I mostly am on their for buying and selling parts.

  • Sounds really good! I bet that cam would work great on nitrous. Do you post on ls1tech?

  • I know a dude that has a car just like that, it sounds just like it too. sick car man.

  • I put down 513rwhp on just the motor no nitrous. Im running hooker exhaust

  • AWSOME RIDE!!! wish i could run a 408 cid but i think im gunna run stock ls2 364 cid still should be pushing big hp over 550 at the crank. what are you putting out????NOS??? love the cutouts. now i want to do them haha. what exhaust are you running out of???? just wondering Thanks

  • love your man, and i am ford guy.

pontiac and chevy are starting to grown on me for sometime now. i have major respect for 'em!

sounds great, looks sweet, and it kills imports! :-)

  • sounds great! what cam?

  • its a .235 .256 604 lift 113 lsa comp custom grind

  • backpressure is a myth..its all about scavaging...read the new gmhtp mag...it confirms it...also no, you do not need a tune for cut-outs

  • its not necessarily a "myth" it depends where you want your torque. low end, mid or high end.

  • Hey nice car Just wondrin, does the car need to be tuned for open cutouts due to lack of backpresure at the O2 sensor cos you're basicaly runin open headers. Also does the car run worse with cutouts closed compared to what it would if there were none at all because it's tuned for open cutouts? Just wondering because I'm thinking about doing this to my LS1 commodore and want it to have best performance without sacrificing daily driven performance. It might just be a few hp or maybe no difference

  • what is your engine package to get 600

  • hooker

  • I have a camaro and I'm thinking about a similar set up' what cat back are you running???

  • yea

  • does all elec. cut outs have switches in the car?

  • I would say so on a fi car

  • Damn u got 25WHP from the cutouts? I got a Talon TSI. Maybe its worth investing in this for a forced induction car. What do u think?
