@FIXUP92 You can buy the remastered versions from lucasarts . com. I've bought the first two pretty cheap, but if you want to play the original version, just press F10. This works on latest windows.

@FIXUP92 No No, install it normally by downloading it via the instructions on Lucasarts website, and then when you are in game, you can press F10 and then it will turn the look of the game back to original state...and back again whenever you like

and i thought my playthrough of MISE in 1h36 was fast! but you can't speed up the speech in that, part 2 is so short! i did it in 2 minutes! i think i took about 20 minutes to learn all the insults, how do you do it so fast?

you can't go through the woods without following herman anyway, guybrusg won't do it, so its impossible to get the treasure first

Not true - as long as you have the treasure map Guybrush will go wherever you need to go in the forest. So you could go to Carla's and get the treasure on the same trip.

This is played on ScummVM, right? A couple of months ago when I didn't have internet access I got bored and did a speedrun of MI, but it came out 10 minutes longer than this because I couldn't speed up text as much as you did. It was the original game on DOSBox.

On a side note, I liked the old music and sfx better.

The style of the 1st and 2nd is much better. The style of the remake looks good as well (except maybe that they made guybrush like the one from MI3). I think they should do a new MI3 with Gilbert (after remake MI2). Btw, I just figured: I bet Toothrot knew the secret all along. It was what he was looking for, and he's been there for so long. He might be the sceme artist, the one that set it all up.

Lucasarts just needs to make a whole new game but in the same style as this one. Perhaps a bit newly updated graphics.

I did see the new one they are coming out with that is a remake of this which looks like it will be cool, but I wish they'd go back at least 3's style for the new episodic content.

yeah! ive been looking for some other good stuff like Monkey Island, just to complete a little cool collection...but i gotta say..other than Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, Indiana Jones...mm..theres not really anymore EPIC games. There are some Fan Games who try to copy the Lucas Arts Style, and i guess a couple of them are worth checking.

The Sierra Games like Freddy Pharkash, Leisure Suite Larry, etc are fine, but dont really get near Lucas Arts Style n' Humor.I have no time to play anyway :\

yeah, day of the tentacle was great, indy too, also sam&max but MI1,2,3 are the best. 4 is good too, but not as good. i'm sorry there are no other great adventures. well..yeah! i know its a cult game as well. i actually played it, but only got a little further in the game, because i think it crashed on me all the time. so i stopped playing it. but i gotta say, although its good game, theres just something in Lucas Arts Games..that is so...familiar..makes u feel at home..something special in every game u play-that makes every game so strong and influencial. it was a great era in gaming..and im sad its gone. i just wish there will be another Monkey Island[5]!

just finished Monkey Island IV. Took me three days which of those I played 1-2 hours each. the fourth is kinda big so I look at it as pretty fast. Still, it's not as fun as enjoying the game and it's very hard to find it so fun when you have played it before. Hope they make a fifth (and sixth... and seventh... and so on) :D

I have to agree with you on that. I enjoyed seeing it able to be finished so quickly, but on the other hand I really felt like I missed all the plot. I guess if you've played it before and talked to everyone that's fine but I really want to play an adventure game for story more than anything.
