what i love most in Ghost recon or Rainbow six, you can play as 1st person or Third Person.. unlike COD and Battlefield.. they have the graphics but you cant play as Third Person.

Man, what happened to these series? These games are better than that Call of Duty crap, in my opinion, but I miss the OLD Ghost Recon gameplay. The OLD Rainbow Six gameplay. They come out with this new Vegas and AW shit that doesn't require hardly any strategy or tactics.

For a game that came out in 2007, GRAW 2 is still very fun and one of the best games on Xbox 360. I was playing it last night having a blast again as if I just bought it 4 years ago . just completed the first GRAW and thought it was very realistic it depicts a war environment better than any other war type game i have played so far including COD it has alot of commands and controls such as crouching cover behind a wall etc and controling the movement and actions of ur fellow commrade's cant wait for future soldier and ordered GRAW 2 for a very nice price gonna play it as soon as it arrives in overall this game beats COD to a pulp. Is there any other game that is this good???

I liked GRAW 2 more just because I felt it expanded in small, but significant ways upon the first game. The campaign is like UBER short but I don't really have much of a gripe about games that are short. Other than that, GRAW 2 was a solid sequel and I liked it.

In this one you get more weapons, the graphics in graw 2 are better. But the first ones a little bit harder. Especially on the Guardrail IX mission. That one is probably the hardest one in graw. Because in that mission it sort of feels like you're up against a battalion or so, since you're pretty much invading a long stretch of an enemy camp in the daytime, and you're doing it solo. Your machine guns also jam quicker from too much or too long rapid firing. But both in my opinion are very good.

@alore57 Much of this game if still sort of run and gun. If you want a really realistic experience, play Flashpoint: Dragon Rising or Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. One must actually use cover fire to suppress an enemy, then flank him.Much more realism is applied there than in this game. This is awesome though!

@Bollibompa I could argue that its more realistic...FPS games dont have great spatial awerness ....so you can do wall hugs etc or properly hide behind cover...whilst games in 3rd person allow for better spatial awarness...fps boys dont like these games cause its hard for them too play...

i'd agree with that if the engine wasnt clunky indoors and has very very stiff animations, i believe arma 2 to be an evolution of operation flashpoint and while far from perfect makes enough changes to make it more realistic then operation flashpoint.... although the AI viewblocking through dense forest (grass as well) sucks for the player.... no fun when you get killed and you cant possibly ever see the enemy behind those 60 trees that are inbetween you.

That was good. I play on semi auto, not full auto. Whatever works for you I suppose. But it's just that having shot many many many weapons, and from speaking with some armed forces people, you can't hit shit on full auto in real life and you burn through magazines way too fast. For the sake of realism I use semi, but hey, this is a game.

it's a great game, but in the back of my mind I felt like all the levels could use more friendly soldiers and more bad guys. They just weren't EPIC enough. I mean there are some environments where you are just begging for an army of dudes to fight (and fight along side) and it never happens...just one or two bad guys over a hill. It is slower, but it's very fun.
