The Republican party was founded for the purpose of ending slavery and the first Republican president did end slavery. IF white christians want to be treated differently, or dont want to be discriminated against, They should treat other religions differently, and stop discriminating.
Let me just give an example of how Affirmative Action works. I'm in law school and when I go to apply for a position, a law firm that has few minorities may chose to hire me over a white man because minorities are underrepresented in the firm.

D) The only problem I have is his taking issue with Herman Cain's preference to be called "Black" instead of "African-American". I actually understand that because when you think "African-American", you think of a 1st generation American who came over form Africa.

Past democrat racism doesn't make the modern democratic party racist. Current racism, such as this, does show the Republican party to be racist. I'm straight edge, in school, and going to college. I don't know if that video was truly racist , because it was directly inspired from your average rap music video that comes out today, and most likely those rap artists who regularly filmed those kinds of video with the scantily clad women probably are not republicans. Why criticized the black guys for participating in that republican ad, but not criticized the thousands of black guys that regularly participate in those hiphop vids. I both despised the democrats and the republicans, but democrats have committed and carried out a lot of racist acts they don't get recognized for. Even though woodrow wilson is one of the most revered US presidents amongst progressives, he was a virulent racist , and reintroduced racial segregation into the whitehouse and was part of the kkk. Truman and Roosevelt are one of the most honor presidents among progressives even though one was part of the kkk and they had japanese put into CC.

Both parties are guilty of racism at one time or another and I am NOT a democrat, what I'm saying is when it comes to their positions, I see the democrats supportive progressive policies far more.
