years ago I saw a video of carrots "screaming" as they were harvested, it made me ill and I was a vegetarian back then. Not one creation wants to die. I must eat or die so I do eat veggies and try not to think about it.

True Plants smell but this is a sense, the base of that sense is a electrical signals, that are being picked up on. Look into a guy named Cleve Baxter his book is amazing on test with plants and there consciousness with us, and how it is faster then speed of light and unable to be contained with steel walls.

Plants "smell" not communicate. When rabbits chew on willow it releases a chemical the other willow can pick up on. When the chemical reaches a certain strength the willows know they are infested and begin secreting a poison that helps kill overabundance of rabbits to a sustainable level.

The researcher who dismantled the plant would have had some of the chemical signal language on their hands/robe which they said was "identifying the assailant". The cabbage probably released "smells" too.
