@iTzGODZiLLA I'd look for a 07+ GTI. The MKV's are awesome. I have one as a daily driver and I spend about 50 bucks a week on gas, and I drive about 70 miles a day, and I'm a very spirited driver. You can probably find one for 12-14 grand on Craigslist.
@TheJohnux Alot of it depends on the weather. In cold weather I get great mileage, and when it's hot, I get good mileage. I usually shift around 1800 RPM to save gas, and I use cruise control a lot. But 36 is still really good.

for anyone saying the gti wins up top because of torque is an idiot. Torque gets you off the line and hp is how fast your car is up top. The reasons honda owners get off the line quick is because they don't make enough torque to spin their lil front wheels. Gtis with mods get abysmal traction out the gate because they're torque comes on too quick for fwd. On the contrary watch an awd a4. They run very impressive 0-60 times and quick quarters but low revs on a 4cyl +awd = low trap.
you also can't compare a supercharged rsx or a turbo'd one to a gti because the gti has a stock turbo and both with after market turbo's would be in the 300's hp range and the race would be the same, acura...........then gti pulls and passes. the rsx has very good power to weight ratio, and the gti does notm thats why it needs so much torque.........................also my one little vw kick lol is that minus the turbo, you have a 130-140hp motor lol

The VW 2.0t engine in many other cars (mostly audis) is good for 265hp, but the GTI is a luxury hot hatch, and 265hp at the front wheels causes torque steer, which can be un-luxurious. with a ecu reflash, and no other upgrades, you can make it go from 200hp to 265hp. yes 200 is weak for a 2.0T engine, but it's limited, but the rsx-s only gains about 15hp with a reflash. don't mean to step on anyones toes, just stating the facts for the uninformed.

@JoshChadwick nope, race my 2 buddies, one with a spec v and one with a rsx type s. both had intake, the V had full exhaust. we have all race a lot and can drive our cars. i always just barely pulled on them. then after my tune, dp, intake and some other small supporting mods, i just literally blow the doors off both of them, especially, from a second gear pull. actually my buddies spec v usually pulls on the rsx until 4th or so.

@philyphil2c cars with v-tec can't stand having boost added to them for long periods of time due to their really high compression rates. turbos and superchargers only really can stand on cars with low compression rates over long periods of time. thats why they can't have the v-tec in the s2000 because they put twin turbos in it. I see it as there is always more to learn!
@will21myers not necessarily. If you turbo a high compression engine and have it tuned right, it will fair well. You can always lower the comp ratio by getting a thicker head gasket.
a exhaust intake and tune rsx alone will walk that piece of shit.
i know my IRL walks all over gti and vr6's, and i raced a rsx exhaust intake and kpro on the same tune that i ran the gti and vr6, and he was closer than either of them, so go ahead and internet shit talk some more, doesn't mean shit when you get your ass handed to you on the street.

You can throw a supercharger or a turbo on an Rsx and it'll still get ate up.. honda lacks torque 200hp 152tq not gonna do it thats to the crank to the wheel 160hp and 122tq smh thats a lawn mower

Your an idiot. Ever think of the weight and gearing? High revs and low tq with short gears is a great way to make a fast car. Don't beleive me? Look at street bikes and formula 1. 800hp engine with not even 300 tq.

@Get1337 yes, but its a very limited engine. The VW 2.0t engine in many other cars (mostly audis) is good for 265hp, but the GTI is a luxury hot hatch, and 265hp at the front wheels causes torque steer, which can be un-luxurious. with a ecu reflash, and no other upgrades, you can make it go from 200hp to 265hp. yes 200 is weak for a 2.0T engine, but it's limited, but the rsx-s only gains about 15hp with a reflash. don't mean to step on anyones toes, just stating the facts for the uninformed.

gota love the honda kids, its always well that guy has a turbo so its not fair when the honda loses. Then when the honda wins its omfg the turbo car lost to n/a engine!! Owned!! Honda for life!! lol..Like get a life you guys. Honda doesnt turbo there cars they never have regularly whereas other car makers have been doing it and doing it well for decades. Honda instead goes with vtec and high compression to get there power. Thats what there good at. Get over it kids

I own an 03 RSX-S I gotta admit, I'm not a fan of VW/Audi but damn that's one clean/sexy ass GTI! I like VTEC and all, but in my eyes getting a low compression+factory turbo'd car is so much better when you want to make good power.

@JoshChadwick nope, race my 2 buddies, one with a spec v and one with a rsx type s. both had intake, the V had full exhaust. we have all race a lot and can drive our cars. i always just barely pulled on them. then after my tune, dp, intake and some other small supporting mods, i just literally blow the doors off both of them, especially, from a second gear pull. actually my buddies spec v usually pulls on the rsx until 4th or so.

@philyphil2c cars with v-tec can't stand having boost added to them for long periods of time due to their really high compression rates. turbos and superchargers only really can stand on cars with low compression rates over long periods of time. thats why they can't have the v-tec in the s2000 because they put twin turbos in it. Thats like saying, if the GTI had v-tec and a 8,000 rpm limit, it would destroy the rsx. learn your shit fool.

@Botestacleez lol i realize i was wrong about the s2000's. i found that out after i had typed that. but the high compression rate statement is true. its what happened to my dads old z06. vtecs have the same issue. any extra aspiration will decrease the life-span of the engine much more significantly than regular cars. you will need major engine internal work before you hit 40k miles. unless im very mistaken, please correct me. I see it as there is always more to learn!

@will21myers not necessarily. If you turbo a high compression engine and have it tuned right, it will fair well. You can always lower the comp ratio by getting a thicker head gasket.
