paddle shifters on the fit sport work very well - they are dead accurate for whoever asked the question. Good set up btw - but would the flimsy trunk board be able to support a heavier mtb? Did you reinforce the fork mount adapter with something?
great video, i'm going to see if my bike will fit like this in my fit tomorrow, i've always thought it wouldn't so i've just laid it on its side all this time.
Yes. It is possible. However, when you do so you risk damaging the bike or knocking your derailuer out of alignment. I have done it, just don't prefer to do it.
How do you like your fit after a couple of years now? How's the mileage and road noise?

Paddle shifters ROCK!
If you buy a fit with ANY forethought of resale, GET THE FIT SPORT with paddle shifters!
*And the wheel locks!
I have pictures of numerous Honda Fit's on cinderblocks.
The extra 4 you pay TODAY for locking wheels, is the extra $ you don't lose later on!
1) Replacing stolen wheels
2) Calling in "depressed" to work when you find your car on cinderblocks. Scratched!!!!!

You mean paddle shifters on the car? I didn't really pay for them. They are standard on the Fit Sport. Yes, they do work. I rarely use them though.

Not my 58cm. I can do it with my wife's bike, but mine is a little too long. There is plenty of height, just the car is not wide enough for my bike.
