If you want to heal your hunger effectively & efficiently by drawing on the wisdom of experience, I am available for regular chats via email, online chat or video calls healhunger@gmail.com. I was on the recovery trail for 11 years, 7 of which were spent tackling a severe case of BED. I took many wrong turns & finally healed with the help of a mentor who had been through it. I'm now 31 & as healthy happy & wise as they come & effortlessly, anorexia bulimia & BED :0) you can be too x
@Costoffplus Here in the US your are either excessively fat, or excessively skinny. There is not healthy balance. One reason for the weight problem in the US is the content of High Fructose Corn Syrup in our diets. We obsessed with low fat, but the sugar cancels the effort out. See Sugar: The Bitter Truth on YouTube for more info. Dave
Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness and an eating disorder is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who think there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very funny in parts. All in all, a good read and highly recommended.
My mom has never told me that I could not eat something or that I should have a portion size. Portions don't exist in my home, and now I am 17 and I am still living this type of lifestyle and I realy don't know how to change. I don't think I even have the power to do it myself. Its hard to convince people that you really can't control things..cuz your just considered a greedy fat ass insted of some one who has an eating disorder or needs help. Its always, why the fuck cant she put down the fork?
I eat whatever i want and dont get fat. Mabey cause im a guy i dont know. But I dont know how someone can eat a bunch of Ice cream or other junk food and not feel sick... i eat a few brownies and i WILL NOT eat another one even if someone paid me to.
No it's not because you are a guy. Like you said yourself you eat whatever you want, but you don't ever over-eat,thats how you stay thin. As long as you listen to your body and don't over-eat then you can eat anything you want and won't get fat. It's a habit of many thin people.
Please don't underestimate the lack of nutrition in the food we eat as a cause of unusual hunger, calorie intake, the need for restrictive diet to maintain normal weight. There is no point in going back to infant mother relationship if a person cannot maintain a healthy weight on a diet that must be high in calories to be suitable in nutrients.
Hi, I know that there is a direct correlation between eating disorders and sexual abuse. Everyone that I have known who has a eating disorder was sexually abused. Because a normal female wouldn't think that their body is what defines WHO they are, it is a part, but not the definition.
You are correct in that there is a definite correltaion between eating disorders and sexual abuse. However, not everyone who has an eating disorder has been sexually abused. You'll also find that there is a correlation between any kind of abuse and eating disorders (as well as some other forms of mental disorders).
I think too, that if one has a loving Mother - but who was always gone trying to feed her family - no car, the only days off she has involves laundry, grocery shopping, mending clothes, ironing, cooking, etc.
Horrible on her, my God - and for us kids. My brother is an alcoholic, and my sister and I both have fairly severe mental issues, including with food. Food is a wonderful thing... that's why they make whole cookbooks with Comfort Food in the title .....

Women in africa and europe are all skinny. Humans weren't meant to carry around excess fat.

Females should listen to their bodies more. They can also realize that there are many ways to look good without doing harm to themselves.
By the way, why are there always pictures of owls at the end?

totallybarefoot-
Like when you have to go to the very back of the grocery store, and then really look - for a bag of barley.
But the frosty sugar-coated wow bombs are three aisles wide.

Good video. Especially like the truth of the "fashion industry" and its effect on how females tend to think the ideal is.
