You also get a war factory where you can make Humvees and APCs to carry units. APCs are great cuz' they can crush units. :D

Actually, Nod are officially the villains, hell on the box describing the game brings Nod saying "Why stop havoc when you can cause it?" It's clear they're meant to come off as the villains.

Yeah, Nod uses the media to make people think they're good and that GDI is evil, and it often works because as Kane puts it "People believe what the media tells them to think." He later tells them to think Nod's defeats aren't important.

I looked at that. Still, Nod doesn't care about them. Kane's plan called for an entire yellow zone to get turned into a red zone.

Well with Nod, they're still evil, and Kane is still the villain. With the Scrin coming, there will be some changes happening, but remember this plot is written by EA and not Blizzard.

It makes it so the planet supports Tiberium based life instead of carbon based live. C&Cwiki says it would have caused different mutations, but I've seen nothing that states that in game. Bottom line, it's an end of the world weapon.
