How do you make a shop in the level editor without the shopkeeper being hostile?

lol so if you make a level, it counts as level 1 and you can continue the game from there? That means you can get like 100 bombs and ropes and a shotgun and stuff before getting to level 2. My version unfortunately doesn't have this, but I'll see if I can find it.

Well, originally it would just start you at level 1 with 4 health, 4 bombs, 4 ropes, no items, after finishing the level you made.

Now in newer versions it either goes to the next level in the series, or gives you a victory screen with the "damselrus"

If you really want to cheat at this game, there are ways, but the level editor is not gonna help you.

Now you can make your own levels and save them differently and they added alot more enemies, gems, and other stuff to the new editor. It's in Spelunk Ver 0.99

so you cant save the levels you make yet? Awesome game either way, super difficult.

I think if you backup the "test.lvl" file in the main spelunky directory (either by placing it in a seperate folder, or renaming it) then you can put it back in the correct spot with the correct name, and it'll load... so you could backup your levels by giving them new filenames, then just name them test.lvl when you want to use them.

I think that'll work, I haven't tested it yet.

it seems to automatically saveswhatever you made but only 1 level . So you can close the game out and next time just f3 and start on that level you made.

have you finished the game? i reached the last room but died horribly when i decided to try to jump on top of the statue head... (i guess it's like super mario bros 3 bowser fight tough uh?) do i unlock extra after finishing the game? those extra scoreboard look curious
