I used to love the miruku koohii (milk coffee) you can get in cans there. If you're hungry, you can also get creamed corn from vending machines. Just pop the tab and suck down some nice, hot creamed corn for a snack. Surprisingly tasty.

Ha, tell me about it. Time is indeed a slippery mofo. I'm using my University's equipment and thus shooting with mini-DV tapes. I have to find the spare hour or two just to digitize the stuff before I even get to edit it :p.

Shoot with a script. Editing is the hardest way to make shitty content better. When I was in school we used tape decks, so every shot had to be edited in order. It was a better way to come up. Non-linear has ruined a whole generation of would be flim makers.

I'm in a writing program here, so it's scripted although there is improv. This is the first time I've written specifically for online content so there's been a learning curve, but I've enjoyed it.

Working with tape or film is a good experience, and sometimes we rely too much on the easiness of non-linear editing to the detriment of structure. I wouldn't say ruined though. It allows more experimentation. The ability to switch between a holistic and microscopic view of the sequence is vital.
