You can't just throw the Bible out and everybody live as they want. You have to have societal structure and live with the essential elements of trust in order to maintain any strong relationship with anyone.
The Bible is tried and tested! It has been proven over and over again accurate. It is still being tested today by believers and non-believers alike. It has withstood hundreds and thousands of years of heretics, religions, massive efforts to stamp it out, lies against it because it is TRIED, TRUE, TRUSTED, ACCURATE and GOD's HOLY WORD.
Those who don't trust it either 1) haven't studied it with an open mind; or 2) misunderstand it or can't understand it.

THIS is all so revealing of a church that will not follow the scriptures, but instead teaches the doctrines of men as if they are inspired. They most likely are inspiried, but not by God. There is another that inspires, he is called by the Bible as the " PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR" . Don't get away from scripture .

Raised as a Catholic, the unspoken word was sex was evil. And only practiced for the purpose of having children. .
My brother was molested by a priest . My sister was seduced and molested by a priest after her husband was accidently killed, she had turned to the church for comfort. It seemed like most of the priests did not practise what they preached.

Any practice not biblically based is doomed to utter failure. This is just another excellent example of mans traditions falling short as opposed to God's way which leads to life.

Bible is prophetically true, accurately prophesying 100's of prophecies down to the tiniest detail
Bible is archaelogically true
Bible is diverse in authorship, unlike other religions it was written by a farmer, kings, sheperds, physician, etc

@breakyournose Bible has > 24K preserved manuscripts, but you're right they ALL could theoretically be wrong. Most published book in history.
Point is: there's more evidence for the Bible's accuracy and validity than any other literary work in the world.
Can I trust it? Absolutely! I experience it daily. It's never been proven wrong.
Where it comes from? God-breathed thru His prophets and people written as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Jesus on earth endorsed the Old Testament.

Why I trust the Bible - 1) Because from the Bible we understand the very essence of TRUST.
Trust is foundational to every relationship - friends, family, churches, business partners, customers, patients, and even God.
The Bible teaches essential elements of trust - how to build it, how to maintain it, who to trust in, what is and is not trustworthy, how to restore it, etc.
The higher the level of trust, the stronger the relationship of anything.
The Bible reveals what destroys trust.

The Bible reveals what destroys trust and provides vivid stories of lying, stealing, murder, adultery, etc. All these wrongs (Bible calls it sin) strike at the very foundation of trust. It also vividly describes forgiveness, an essential element of restoring trust.
You can't just throw the Bible out and everybody live as they want. You have to have societal structure and live with the essential elements of trust in order to maintain any strong relationship with anyone.

The Bible is tried and tested! It has been proven over and over again accurate. It is still being tested today by believers and non-believers alike. It has withstood hundreds and thousands of years of heretics, religions, massive efforts to stamp it out, lies against it because it is TRIED, TRUE, TRUSTED, ACCURATE and GOD's HOLY WORD.
Those who don't trust it either 1) haven't studied it with an open mind; or 2) misunderstand it or can't understand it.
It's the real deal. TRUSTWORTHY!

where did it come from. i know that mathew mark luke and john did not write the books of mathew marc luke and john.
there must have someone who put it all together, somone with an authority to interpret.
