I am curious, was there a particular reason the crew chose to use the combo tool instead of a spreader to pop the doors, then use an O'ring (believe that was the Hurst name for their cutters) cutter for removal of the B-pillar? Does that particular fire company not carry a full compiment of Hurst tools?
As a FF EMT I am always amazed by medics who won't wear bunker gear. At 6:58 the medic puts his exposed head within inches of the cutter on the b post. Looks like an invitation for a disaster. Extricators are doing a great job.
You feel the need to comment on the number of people on scene yet didn't know what the sheet was for? Seriously. I don't think you're qualified to make comments on fire scene operations.
first of all this is not a fire scene its a mva and ive done this stuff for 3 years and yes i think that qualifies me to make a comment so mind your own bussiness next time
You might want to get a few more years under your belt. It's clear you're inexperienced. I've got 13 years in this business, and have much more to learn. So do you.
Well, not to pick a fight or anything..........But, in 3 years I would think that you may have figured out that you cover patients during extrication. Oh, and "too many guys on scene"?? WTF, I want as much help as I can get on scene. They can fetch equipment, help with the cot, traffic control, you name it. They "watch our backs" so we can work without worring too much about chit goin down behind us.
haha sometimes its frustrading watching these videos but they have a good view and good to train with on what might or could be done differently. THanks for all your hard work.
im sorry i just cant come to terms with you on many of these but nonetheless i appreciate you giving us the opportunity to be able to see what you see thru your camera
@RCcustomPD yes this is volunteer. The township has 5 fire stations and fire police station.

Looks like a combi-tool in the brief shot of it. Combination cutter and spreader.

You're 12 years old. Three years expierence? No Firefighters would retire after 3 years of service...Unless they're dead or physically injured.
