Yes, the CEO and CFO should be on the line for the risks that they lead their company's into, but there is a profound lack of pain or cost to them when they get it wrong. Ordinary people wear the pain in layoffs and cutbacks, don't expect overpaid bosses to accept any pain without legislation to force it onto directors and executives.
