I don't know why there are so many dislikes on this (I'm thinking short-poppy syndrome). I think she did a great job on the review and we're looking forward to our 2011 Transformer edition (yellow with black vinyl and transformer badged) 6-speed supercharged version arriving here in New Zealand in the next couple of months. I'm not sure how common they are in the states, but over here they are a dime a dozen so just makes them that much more special! These cost in excess of 70k US$ over here >.<

hahaha, I like how soo many people are saying kids are spoiled for getting a Camaro as a first car. I highly doubt the kid annoyed the shit out of their parents to get them that sweet ride they probably just wanted to do it since they want there kids to have a great life. To everyone that i saying kids are spoiled if they get a Camaro as a first car your just jealous. End of story!

the Plastic cover is not to protect the roof!! it's to cover the cracks so shit won't get into the convertible mechanism

man after reading a few of these comments with teens getting this as a new car is just sick.. my fist car was a cobalt and i worked my ass off to just afford something that was 6k..people really need to teach their kids the meaning and value of a dollar.

@thepoll599 As a journalist you don't get to always choose the cars that are offered to you. I requested the SS which is a hot car but they didn't have any available.  SO you take what you can get in this business. Love your car though- very cool! Nice rides!

This was my first car, got it a little while ago. But I'm also not a normal 16 year old driver either. I've been driving the Viper and Corvette since I was about 13. I can drive a lot better than most people on the road. I've just always had a feel for it. In my opinion it is a PERFECT car for a 16 year old, as long as you know what your doing behind the wheel. I'm working on it right now, putting in a Flowmaster, a chip, and a new intake.

@GordanMFreeman Sure its fine in hte rain - snow may be another problem as rear wheel drive cars really need snow tires, especially if you live in the upper half of the country.

@PheelKooL I said this does not make a great first car - especially for teens. Stick with a mid sized sedan for a first car. Then this is a great car once you have some road experience.

@RafatherHitman WORNG Camaro always wins. Mustangs are much to common and now tend to look boring. The Camaro looks great and is not boring looking at all. So all and all Camaro wins!
