After watchen some hunting shows with the 10mm and uncle ted saying he dont leave home without his glock 20 on his side i went and got one after years of waiting and i love it.Ive taken deer-hog and bear and i see alot of outfitters in bigbear country carry these and i understand why.Take care.
JacksonQ you are a Jabroni, a 4 inch barrel isn't a snub nose. Yoko good shooting, I know a few guys that have trouble making groups that small with a 9mm at 10 feet.
Haha you're pathetic having to get the last word in .500 revolvers come in 5,6 and 8 round mags, I know it must be difficult for you to understand that someone can be better than you anything because you're so much better than everyone else, you don't know everything about everything, and because someone doesn't have proof of everything they do at all times definitely means means there lying, and because you don't believe me means you're jelous and immature.
And if you think you can drop a 700lb 9ft grizzly with a Glock 20 you're fucking seriously undereducated on bears, your bullet isnt going to go through a grizzlies 2 inch skull and your not going to get 10 shots of before he's crushing your skull with his 1500psi jaws filled with daggers, your always confident until you've big block of death running at you... I'm don conversating with you, it's gotten out of hand. Oh and btw I meant 50ft :P
@JacksonQDavis1993 Of course you're done, because you meant to say 5-shot instead of 6, and you meant to say 50ft instead of 150 feet, and you meant to shoot 1 MOA out of a hand cannon instead of lying about it. Of course you're done. The biggest trash talkers on youtube have no videos to prove themselves, which makes you a statistic.
@JacksonQDavis1993 LOL a family friend holds an old record for dropping a grizzly at 10 paces with a fish arrow (fiberglass) and his longbow. but, he does carry the 500 as well ;)
Well first off you can get a .500 in 5, 6 and 8 cylinder, and second I've been shooting since I was 5 and have shotten almost 250 different types of guns, probably guns and ammunition rounds you've never heard of, I wasn't trying toturn this into a competition because I'm not a child I was simply saying I'm fairly descent with high caliber revolvers/pistols and a fallow up shot gets easier over time but next time I go to my dads I'll get his .500 and show you it can be done.
That's true but with a .500 you'll probably only need 1-2 shots, my dads .500 is a 4in snub nose .650 grain beast. I can get all 6 rounds in a 1/2 inch spread at 50 yards so I think I'm good.
@JacksonQDavis1993 Well the S&W500 is a 5 shot, not 6, but I would love you to send me a video of you doing that, and then try getting all 5 on target in 15 seconds. Three seconds per shot should be plenty of time, after all a grizzly can run conservatively 30mph, but as fast as 50mph in short bursts. At 30mph, in 15 seconds that's over 200 yards.
@JacksonQDavis1993 If you can get 5 rounds in 1/2 inch spread at 50yds with all the time you need, on video with a clean target (you can write Yokowenis on the target so I know you didn't upload someone else's work), I'll personally send you 50 rounds of S&W500. Why, because everyone with a keyboard is a great shot on the internet, especially 18 year-olds who play video games. Yes, I am calling you a liar. Calibers aren't dick swinging contests, I chose 10mm on purpose.
@JacksonQDavis1993 Well I can pretty much guarantee that I can get 10-15 rounds on target before most could get 5 rounds of 500S&W on target. Follow up shot on a S&W500 are a handful, add the stress of a charging bear, good luck with that. It's easy to start increasing calibers, because in reality we'd all prefer a rifle but it weighs more, just like a 4lb revolver.
@JacksonQDavis1993 I know a guy who put down a grizzly with his Glock 20 at 40 yards. Of course in haste, he emptied half of his magazine (6-7 rounds) so I don't know if they were all necessary, but the grizzly dropped. I would expect less for a black bear, but those persistent Care Bears might require a S&W500.
@andrew12341231 I'll put it this way, I own several guns in 45acp, and I'd rather have my 10mm Glock 20 when faced with a bear. Trading more power for 0.5 in caliber. Ideally you'd have a rifle, but this is a backpacking gun, not a handgun to hunt with.
@81emgshredder BTW, I love how you wrote several comments to inform me on how stupid I am, until your brain figured out the joke's on you. I've read the comments you've left on other people's videos and there is no shortage of evidence proving how much of a retard you are. Isn't it convenient to anonymously make fun of other people's work while providing no videos of your own? You're not even good at being a troll.
and reading the way you talk to everyone else your just a plain dick man. treat people with respect. if we are taking time to comment on your video and saying a joke or giving advise you don't have to treat people like shit. it might help out your views if you werent such a cock to people. good luck with your future vids bud.
@81emgshredder Clearly I was making a joke to your joke. Relax bud. (And I could care less about view counts, there are no ads on my videos, youtube is just for fun)
I was not complaing about your ammo i just said its not what the 10mm is made for.Your firing very low charged ammo thats equal to 40 cal S&W Not the stuff that the gun was made for.If your goin to shot 40cal rounds why did u buy a G-20? you should have bought the 40
@BlueMax114 I don't need someone telling me what I should or shouldn't do. At the time of this video, any 10mm ammo was difficult to find. I keep Hornady HP and Winchester HP ammo in my mags when I'm not target shooting, which are $1/round. The primary purpose of this gun is for backcountry backpacking in bear country. When I go target shooting, I'll shoot target ammo. When I hunt trolls, I'll use hollow points.
@YokoWenis I hear what you are saying but I think Bluemax is right in terms of your intended purpose. If you are going to use this as your packpacking gun then you need to use buffalo bore, swamp fox, or Double tap loads. The hardcast would work great for your application!
@YokoWenis 230 hard cast for big game, 180 jhp for 2 legged vermin. A grizzly can go 2-5 minutes full bore with no heart pumping, and any pistol bullet (even 500s&w) is luck to penetrate the skull. Bears run 35mph, if you can't get 3 rounds on target at 50' in under 2 seconds, save a bullet for yourself. And always, always carry real (UDAP) bear spray...it has a better track record than bullets.
Blazer rounds those are wimpy they are like shooting 40 s&w rounds get some full house 10mm rounds and fire it.Most rounds u buy for the 10mm are downloaded 40 rounds you need to get Swamp Fox or Double taps for the full 10mm load.
Look here's the deal. Funny ass video. I've been wanting a Glock 20 for about ever but my hands weren't growing any larger and I didn't want to feel stupid holding it, like how stupid everybody feels holding a Desert Eagle 44 Mag, just a monster stupid thing. So I figure hell, I'll never own a stupid Glock 20 due to my medium size hands. Then bingo, Glock 20 SF, fits my hands no problem! Oh, yeah. Now I'm looking for some Care Bears.
Great vid!! Carry my glock 20sf with surefire x400 in raven concealment holster (both ccw and outdoor gun). Sometimes, I'll take my Ruger Redhawk 44mag for outdoors. Dude, why is it that people do not seem to understand the joke about the gun weighing 73 pounds with ammo? I see so many people saying "that's a mistake" or something like that. C'mon people, he's making a friggin joke comparing the 10mm superior firepower to the firepower of more traidtional semi-auto pistols.
i ain't mad bra mf's talk all this crap about what to use on a bear, that mf you have in your hand is what i would have !!!! i carry a g 30 for my every day carry and i love it ,but if i'm going to be in the the woods where there are some dang bears of any size i'll take that 10mm over my 45 any day !!!!!!!!!!
Glock 21 SF is better... the slower .45 expanding to near an inch beats a shitty .40 s&w with a longer shell anyday. 10mm isn't popular, it's wack... other calibers beat it.
@LosAngelesWeedSmoker You want to talk about WACK, California has some wack gun laws. The gun laws have gotten all wacked from all the fricken pot heads running around california. I drive through California with a a couple pistols I'm too scared of jail and I take them all apart cause you go to prison for a gun with a high capacity magazine. That's what wack is, pot heads making gun laws. We don't need citizens in Cali with guns, just smoke sum bud man.
@LosAngelesWeedSmoker All you understood was nothing because too much marijuana over too much time actually deteriorates your brain. Don't ask me for any scientific proof just go sit with some folks you know that have been smoking THC for a long time and you'll see what I'm talking about. It wasn't a personal attack on you, how would I know if you're a pot head or not. Cali............ok Calif, is that better for you. You want me to get off Calif's dick?
@YokoWenis Good point, sometimes folks need a mediator. Still your video is humorous, your dry humor is like mine, some people don't get it and some people don't like it. Glock 20 SF, might be the smartest thing glock ever did, take away the Desert Eagle Factor from the model 20 for guys with medium sized hands. I'm still trying to figure out what is meant by "other calibers beat it."
A good after market compensator like the one made by Lone Wolf reduce the recoil significantly making it as easy to shoot as a 9mm. And having a +2 base plate for 17 rounds makes more room for your supporting hand to control the recoil.
@YokoWenis the reason i ask is . almost nobody would choose an auto over a revolver as a wilderness gun. and you used your bathroom scale to weigh your gun. either you wer joking or your clueless.
@9mrsimz Yes the bathroom scale is a joke. But the semi-auto (not auto) is definitely a woods gun, and yes, intentionally so over a wheel gun. Glocks are one of the most reliable guns made, even over some revolvers (ever had a hard primer on a revolver not fire? I have). I'll take 15 rounds of 10mm over 6 rounds of any revolver caliber. You can't convince me you can put 6 rounds of 454 casull on target (and that's the key word-on target), quicker than I can get twice as many followup shots
@YokoWenis i wont argue with the last part because its best to shoot something your comfortable with. but i still think revolvers are more reliable IN THE OUTDOORS.mainly cuz thers less moving parts.
@9mrsimz And my argument to that would be, why to cops who are outdoors all day carry glocks more than revolvers? I understand there are less moving parts, but I've seen more revolvers fail than glocks, plus I'm not concerned about scratching up a glock than I would a revolver. I'd only buy a S&W or Colt revolver, I think the rest are sub par.
@YokoWenis cops arent outside all day in the woods tromping in the grass and mud. . and i am confident enough about revolvers that ur lying when you say uv seen more revolvers fail..thers no argumant, that glock is a good gun ,they are great guns but theres no way in hell that they are more reliable then revolvers in an outdoor enviornment.there close but not equal. i know your type, its glock and nothing else. we'll see whos right when your starring down a grizzly and that thing stove pipes.
@9mrsimz If you're going to debate me, bring some evidence to prove your point. If not, shut the fuck up and be on your way. Here's a video Hickok45 did last week showing the Colt Python .357mag failing to fire multiple times because of the hammer. (youtu.be/G4G7wTIcaYs). You don't know me or my type. But I know your type, someone who doesn't have their own videos but likes to argue internet rhetoric they once heard but don't get out of mom's basement to experience for themselves.
@YokoWenis im actualy done talking to u about this because i know your not listening to what i have to say . but if a glock (AUTO{talking about the recoil action not the rate of fire.}) is what you feel safe with by all means carry it, i dont care. i sugest you look at calibers for bears tho because a 10mm might not do so well.
Dude, if you're strong enough to carry a gun that heavy for outdoor protection while backpacking in grizzly country you will not need it... you should be strong enough to knock out a charging grizzly with a single punch to its face.
@dubmastarjay I would put Talon grip tape on any glock. I think the standard grip texture is too slick, with the exception of the Rough Textured Frame (RTF) glocks.
Great video! I just put money down on my glock 20 SF today! All the great videos out there proved to me what an awesome gun this is!!

I understand there are less moving parts, but I've seen more revolvers fail than glocks, plus I'm not concerned about scratching up a glock than I would a revolver. I'd only buy a S&W or Colt revolver, I think the rest are sub par.
YokoWenis 9 months ago

A Glock Has only 34 Parts, some are fixed parts like Sights etc
That is Less than any revolver...
StSimonMartyr 9 months ago
@YokoWenis im actualy done talking to u about this because i know your not listening to what i have to say . but if a glock (AUTO{talking about the recoil action not the rate of fire.}) is what you feel safe with by all means carry it, i dont care. i sugest you look at calibers for bears tho because a 10mm might not do so well.
9mrsimz 9 months ago
Moron,
The 10mm is almost identical To the 41 Magnum ballistically.
If the 41M is not sufficient, youre an idiot.
With Hot loads (Buffalo Bore/Doubletap) the 10mm is perfect medicine with a well placed shot
A Large Alaskan Brown Bear was killed last year with one headshot with a 9mm...see the news link on google.
Shot Placement > Caliber
A Semi is a better weapon, jams are easily cleared, much easier with SA than revolver. Yes, Revolvers jam
Glocks are extremely reliable, nnt prone to Jams

"Your looking at about a 73 pound gun."
Dude, if you're strong enough to carry a gun that heavy for outdoor protection while backpacking in grizzly country you will not need it... you should be strong enough to knock out a charging grizzly with a single punch to its face.

how do you like that grip tape? i was thinking about getting it?
dubmastarjay 1 year ago
@dubmastarjay I would put Talon grip tape on any glock. I think the standard grip texture is too slick, with the exception of the Rough Textured Frame (RTF) glocks.
YokoWenis 1 year ago
@dubmastarjay I think the grip tape is almost mandatory for control. If you look at Hickok45's glocks, he puts them on all of his and I do too.

The Glock web site length given refers to the radius of the slide, that is the length of the slide - not the OAL of the pistol.
cnick6 1 year ago
@cnick6 That's why I measured the overall length, because it's not given on the website.

Gen 3 right?
glennwih 1 year ago
@glennwih Yeah Gen3, I don't think the G20 gen 4 is out.
YokoWenis 1 year ago
@YokoWenis Gen 3 has that grove. Gen 2 has 2 pins. I don't know what a gen 1 looks like in 10mm but I think it has 2 pins too.
