@hottyboy315 yes all rotties have them. although some fade away like with my dog as he got older. the reason for those spots is to intimidate other animals. when another animal looks at the rottie they think that the rottie has 4 eyes! also, if you look at their butts, you can see that it is tan as well. this creates an illusion that the dog is facing you. this makes it hard for a predator that wants to attack from behind because it thinks the rottie is facing it.

Aw, such cute little babies! I got my rottie when she was the same age, only she was a purebred and not a rottie/blue healer. She was the same way - always wanting to bite and play, and never afraid of any strange sounds. xD Instead of freaking, she just kept right on going. Beautiful little pups, too! So playful and energetic - sometimes I wish they could stay puppies forever.

@LukasDiSparrow they use to pull wagons and the owner would cut the tail so it wouldnt get caught on the wagon and hurt the poor dog. now people cut them because their tail bones are weak(because of all the cutting in the past) so to avoid any health issues related to the tail owners today who do not have their rotties pull wagons still cut them.

2, it was a traditional thing as they used to be working dogs, but now the law states you cant cut the tails off any more, unless you meet spesific criteria and have the vet do it.. but they dont look bad with tails on either.

@LukasDiSparrow Kinda late to answer but I just got your question lol, anyway, people used to cut rotties tails because rotties used to be working dogs for the romans, dragging carts etc.. so their tails used to get in the way of their job, so the romans cut the dogs tails, and this habit was passed on to next generations as a given thing, and since many people thinks the rotties are better looking without the tails, people now a days cut their tails for cosmetic reasons only.

they used to dock their tails bc of their history of being a herding dog and pulling carts. Now it's mostly out of tradition and vanity. Docking of tails has been banned in several countries. I have 2 rotties in the US both with immediate German bloodlines with docked tails, which I like so they don't knock everything over. Rotties are what you train them to be. If you don't train them, instincts will take over and they'll be hell on wheels. If you love them, they'll love you!
