Kubrick , withdrew the film because of death threats and it was onlty re-released after his death! These must have been threats that Kubrick took extremely serious , in order to make him do such an unheard of thing as withdrawing a film , that was doing very well at the box office. I wonder, just who would have had any interest what so ever to threaten Kubrick in such a way regarding a/ this film? and also why was Kubrick so afraid , that he actually did withdraw it!
