You know, I just recently found out about this game. I kind of want to play it on my old windows 95. I don't know how I could get it without Internet with that computer. I could download it from another, but where could I go from there? Oh well.
By the way, I lol'd when that one zombie just flew out of the map. Awesome video!
@InShatteredMolds Eh, not everyone appreciates voice commentary, but due to the way I recorded these (and the fact that I don't have the raw footage anymore) I can't edit it out without also removing the game sound.
If you insist on not having voice commentary, try revenant0519's playthrough on Extra Crispy difficulty.
@DanQuijote777 It highlights monsters against the background. So, if you're in darkness and you turn on beast vision, the monsters show up although everything else stays in darkness.
o how nice, the cultist guys wear flammable clothing, also r u using a source port? cuz mine doesnt have sound and when i test the sounds or music its all choppy
wiki has it's own page on this game and if you scroll down near the bottom it has a link to blood references which will tell you where each reference came from plus a few U may not have noticed... PS it's also the only other place than here on youtube that I've found with any useful info besides...
"OUT OUT DAMN SPOT! OUT I SAY!" IS FROM MACBETH act 5 scene 1
Lady M. Out, damned spot! out, I say! One; two: why, then, tis time to do t. Hell is murky! Fie, my lord, fie! a soldier, and afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account? Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?
That quote about the spot when you wash your hands is from Macbeth, its a line about Lady Macbeth's guilty conscience making her hallucinate about blood spots on her hands.
Oh, okay. Yeah, the actual story is one of those things that I didn't pay much attention to when playing.
But speaking of quoting, I think I actually missed one of Caleb's one-liners in this level. The empty grave where the third secret was apparently has one.
My processor's an Intel Quad-Core at 2.4 Ghz, with 2 gigabytes of RAM. The graphics card is a Radeon X1650. Unfortunately that's all I can really tell you at the moment.
The computer as a whole is actually about a year and a half old at the time I'm writing this comment.

Caleb quoted that line at the grave because he came back to life after he got cast down by Tchernobog in the intro.

Quothe the Raven, Nevermore.
There's also a quote for the caskets at the end of the level. When Caleb presses use on one of them, he says "They'll need a lot more of these".
TheSeriousCacodemon 2 years ago
@FrostyTheDragon I think he says nevermore and the tomb is supossed to be The Crow's tomb, you know, the guy who is come back to live for revenge :)

Btw how did you get it to run so smoothly? I can't play through certain levels because it lags like a bitch even with frame skip. What's your setup?

That explains it. I'm running with a lot less power. Maybe a gig of RAM should do it.

Nice stuff. I'm trying to play this on Extra Crispy. Sooo frustrating. I have like no ammo at the train station. :'(
