  • the guy at 0:37 is fuckin classic with that little jig in the mud he does

  • check out this vid in better quality on my channel

  • That shirt I fucking want it, anyone know where to get it or at least have an image of what's on the shirt?

  • awesome, never seen this video since I was a teenager, brings back memories....

  • Bands like this will never get recognition due to the fact that the newer bullshit is just a cheap rip off of original bands like these. And they will never give these bands their due.

  • Amazing - I have been looking for this video/song for 15 years!!!

I did searches on wasted Youth and found nuthin... whats the name of the album?

  • @Redomondo Black Daze

  • i've been looking for the shirt the singer is wearing for years...

does anyone know where i can find it?

  • Hey Thanks for posting this boss video. N=Might anyone have a vid for

    Public Opinion?"

  • Chett Lehrer fucked up soo bad ... he should of stayed a punk ...

  • everyday is a good day for a hanging!

  • Hey guys I think the opening riff sounds like Toxic Holocaust's song 'City of a Million Graves'?

  • @beelaal85 totally

  • didn't the one guitarest go on to play with that band with slash and scott weiland? whatever the fucking name was?

  • @death666xxx yep he did

  • Yep, this band kicked ass. I have this album on cd. It rocks start to finish.

  • look what they did to Wasted Youth it's a shame my Dad was the original drummer Wasted Youth was punk rock and not some kind of Metal bullshit "!

  • wasted youth good

  • Not heard this song for years. Love it!!!!!!

  • This is truly one of the best songs from back in the day. A damn shame it didnt make them huge. Funny seeing as I listen to QOTSA now and Joey Castillo is now their drummer.

  • Ballz out double kick through almost the entire song. I couldn't even find this on Youtube not that long ago. Thanks for the upload. One of the most under rated "Thrash" bands ever. They used to just be straight up punk, but like DRI made the change to a more structured and complex band. Loved the change and still love this tune almost 20 years later...

  • I never understood how this song never made these guys huge. My first band and I covered this back in the day. If anyone is interested in doing a little online collaboration and covering this, drop me a line.

  • This is good educational stuff!!!!

  • loved this song from day 1....fuckin awesome!!

  • Pepsi Power hour first played this video in Canada. It never took off, I don't know why. Thank goodness for VHS and the record button!

  • @1xtra411 lol, i saw it on the pepsi power hour too, was lucky enough to have the vcr recording the show at the time, always loved this song, still do so many years later!

  • amazing. i loved this as a kid.

  • I hate how Kushner is always snubbed in Velvet Revolver interviews/articles.

  • I don't know the history of this band but this song still makes me want to punch someone in the face, maybe even myself. It completely kicks ass!

  • Shit for sale & nothing else.

    Exploited 4ever!!!

  • what a blast from the past I remember me and my mates moshing in my living room all the years ago to this ha ha

  • Hey Kushner on guitar and i guess the drummer is none other than J.Castillo (now in Queens of the Stone Age)

  • This shit was rad. When I was young and wasted. Now it's rad. And I'm old and wasted.

  • i followed these all over london alone with alien martian dance and modern english but these were the best live

  • wrong band

  • Whether it be Hardcore Punk or Thrash Metal, Wasted Youth is cool. It's a shame they don't get enough recognition. But then again, Hardcore and Thrash are BOTH underground genres.

  • looooove this song wish i could find there cd with thios

  • Very nice at 2:15. This guy sounded like John Bush from Armored Saint.

  • This video kicked your ass, but the song kicked your ass and your bikes ass growing up.

  • chained to a bad storm... bricks hold my spine... I'm so confused I've lost my mind...

    loved these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have the cassette somewhere, the gift of death is better than this song.

  • i have seen them yestaerday it was awesome!!

  • This is some sweet stuff. Basically just speed metal.

  • album had bad production low peak levels any gun can play was great song

  • agreed. Not to mention the sound engi could have been alot more suggestive with the vocals.

  • If the whole record was this good it would be legendary!! Too bad it wasn't!

  • Awesome, thats Joey Castillo.

  • Not nearly as good as the old Wasted youth, I used to like that song F**K Authority

  • Awesome song and kickass video...

It totally sucks that MTV's "Headbanges Ball" aired this video only ONCE....

Damn, this is ceratibly one rare metal video

  • I happened to see them re-run this vid on the "new" headbangers ball around '03

  • @nelsonhughes fucking eh, i LOVE this song, reminds me of my long departed youth

  • How Ironic...,(short-haired,punk) band dissolves into the same (long-hair) crap that made them exist in the first place.."Metal's In" and were gone for good !...long live Scranny !!!!

  • Awesome, just awesome. Wish i could get this on cd or mp3.

  • I wonder what became of Danny Spira, their original vocalist when they did punk rock.

  • Wasted Youth did Reagans In and then the original guitar player from Reagans In got together with the guy you see singing in this video and did "Get Out of My Yard" with other new players.

This was the third album (minus original guitarist) leaving no direct connection to the original band.

To call this band Wasted Youth is VERY MUCH dubious. I believe their name should have changed. The punk band that did Reagens In was a brilliant punk band (and I say that admitting I DO LIKE this).

  • Kwolf68, you are mostly correct except for one thing: The third album "Black Daze," including this song, still featured the original guitarist Chett Lehrer -- but instead of playing lead guitar he was playing rhythm guitar.

  • This is just speed metal. Not the WY I love.

  • yo what up Paul Rossi you the Man...great memories stop by some time im still lost in Hollywood!!!Marco...

  • I remember wasted youth great band that had such great hits like...."We were on Heroin"LOL

  • this is a great video the drummer and the guitars is extremely awesome i love it

  • I played guitar for WY at Fenders in April 1987. They were transitioning from punk to metal. Stll have those reheasal tapes. You can hear the boombox melting........the ringing in my ears is still there.....

  • Wasted youth last gig was at the Venue december 1983,they were never a punk band they were the coming of goth,,i am from there label bridge houise like to here the recording you have, and who else was playing on the recordings

  • L.A.'s Wasted Youth

  • thanks for clearing that up Steve, wish you well.

  • there not core here, wtf, what about reagans in

  • Is this really the same band tht played hardcore n sung amazing songs like blind nuns?

  • I'm gonna hang a commie chink...

  • which one is dave kushner? what time?

  • how come this is the only vid posted by this band?..isnt there more out there?..that was such a great album for its time..and yeah it was only good album by this band i can remember.

  • Good guitar work!! Wasted Youth rules!

  • beginning of metal right here

  • Damn, I can't even tell which one is Dave. If its him doing the solo near the end, then damn, he should get in on more soloing spots in VR songs and shows. I've seen em' 3 times and he's always surprised me. When you hear a solo you're always expecting it to be Slash... but when they do Vasoline it's nice to hear a Dave solo for once. And this is coming from a huge Slash fan! Dave's great though.

  • Rick Seccombe was the lead guitarist and played all the solos. He the one with the flannel shirt on for most of the video. All the mud scenes were filmed in his backyard. Ahhh...the good ol' daze.

  • Love The Double Pedal On This FREAKIN' SONG MAN!!!!!!!!!!1

  • This is a crap. This is WY lured into the metal money making machine. Not Reagan`s Inn quality Punk!

  • hav,nt heard this track since late 80,s on a shitty thrash vid, fuckin quality!

  • fuck ya punk

  • This aint the UK postpunk Wasted youth. It's the L.A. thrash band Wasted Youth.

  • I used to have this album on a shitty cassette now i have just this song on mp3. Love this video especially the little punker sluts yum yum!

  • I remember seeing them w/Last Round Up at the Balboa Theater in L.A. Good speed metal but they should've changed the band name. Reagan's In still my fave. The Black Daze album was still way better than the sucky Brats in Battalions.

  • When Wasted Youth went THRASH!

  • never seen this before...thanks for sharing. this cd blazes.

  • so sick. this record was impossible to find in 1988 garland texas. yeah it's metal wasted youth, but this song kicks fucking ass. video too.

  • when wasted youth went fully metal

  • is this the same wasted youth that does fuck authority and reagons in and problem child and all that?

  • Yes it is.

And although this isn't hardcore it's pretty thrashin'

  • i'll agree with you on that one, i'm not much of a thrash fan but after a second listen this song's pretty good.
