He first did this on Jo Whileys show on Radio 1, in the Live Lounge, where the guest are asked to cover a song that they would not normally be associated with, and he did this. Audience reaction was massive, and a few DJs played it over the course of the week. A week later Pharell was in the Radio 1 studios being interviewed and the DJ played him this. His reaction was something along the lines of "Damn,,,, that's a white boy?" and immediately asked for a copy to be made from the DAT.

Man, I'm thankful for Jamie Cullum. The "cover tune" is a lost art, but he makes me realize that their IS hope for the current crop of "artists" out there. All the R&B cats who are out there re-making tunes need to take a lesson from this guy: HAVE SOME IMAGINATION.
