  • It should be a requirement that people learn to read and understand the description before allowing a reply. That drill is amazing. It would really be something if one could put a camera on one of the openers and watch it do it's magic. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Would like to see how the crop emerged. I'm guessing I wouldn't be too proud of the eveness of emergence at that speed!

  • How did the yield end up? Metric tonnes per hectare please!

  • Hate to hit a fox hole at that speed.

  • do you have any photos of the wheat fully growed i am very intrusted in that machine

  • All these comments sound like people just wanna go slow.

  • well you need seat belt and a snowmobile helmet and race car driver to work in some field.thk for posting

  • I saw a hairy legged man wearing a tutu once but this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen! I can get 10 acres/hour with my 15' JD 1560 at 6 mph for less than 1/3 the price of your rig. We don't even pull sprayers that fast but you have fun getting beat up all day!!!

  • How was the stand of the crop and the yield compared to the old fashioned way of seeding the wheat? Maybe I should explain that I'm a farmer from Indiana in the USA. We use a Great Plains N o-Till with a coulter caddy up front. Probably 6 mph at top speed seems to be about right for our red soft winter wheat.

  • Why don't you just call this video "How to Destroy Perfectly Good Equipment."

    Stupid.

  • @flyboyandmeg - The machine in this video (home built) at a cost of $75,000 in the last six years has completed over 34,000 acres custom/contract paying acres at an average of $20 p/acre + fuel. It averages 4-5,000 acres per set of discs ($100 each) and the average R/M costs - bearings/seals/chains/sundry are between $500 and $800 p/year. Last year during a quite time I replaced 80 of the 120 parallelogram bearings over two days at a cost of $7.50 each. Now if that is stupid I must be a jackass.

  • Man!!! you could be on the cover of "Aggressive Farmer" magazine!!!! LOL

  • @ushouldntjudgeme - Simply shows what is possible, the dude holding the camera is the farmer himself (paying customer) for whom I have been seeding for years and years.

  • wow this is retarded id rather have a 60 foot air seeder then this little garden planter that races down the feild... junky fendt probably cant handle that litte garden racer. american farming=better...

  • @uberbadnoob6699666 - On smaller fields/farms where this machine does most of its custom/contract work small seeds establishment direct into stock compacted/rock hard ground enabling a finely tilthed slot with plenty of side shatter allowing optimum moisture penetration when/if it rains the results are second to nothing this includes oilseeds/pastures. Last year this outfit did 7,500 custom contract acres for over 20 paying/repeat customers, ($20.00 p/acre + fuel) Did someone say 'retarded'?

  • Way to go great seed placement!!!

  • Now this, this is something different. at first i thought this was speeded up but when i saw the bloke walking with his shadow going steady and the tractor still flooring it.. well thats awesome.

I need to see more videos on this, this is really cool.

Is there any photos of the crops after planting? how the crops went? I'd be very interested to know.

btw, I'm an aussie too =D

  • @Br1ckwalk3r - Will upload pics of those actual crops over the next couple of weeks.

  • at that speed more seed would be in the neighbours field, 6mph is a sensible speed

  • thank u...and it seems to me i can cover way more acres with a no till concord or flexicoil with my big deere and fertilize at the same time

  • @indy498 - I you take the time to view the end of the other 18' video you will see static pics of emerging rows which look far from shabby. Cheers.

  • i just do not see how that can be beneficial in anyway, i'd rather go 6 mph with my 50 foot drill and do a super good job, than 22 with that size and have horrible lines...

  • If you mean 'not straight' - this is will be due to operator error (no GPS) If you mean those fluffy 'ridges' they are gone in several days and revert to dead flat. The emerging rows (actual results) are always stand alone spectacular mainly due to the influence of the packer wheel, width of the emerging rows and fertilizer splitting.
