I have a question...what is she referring to related to "the occupation of Haiti"? How does a political organization intend to find national legitimacy without tailoring its message with legitimate issues? Also, does it not seem strange, the bedfellows of McKinney and Green? Though race is an important agenda for the Green Party, her utter preoccupation with race is quite unsettling....in that most of her policy positions are primarily motivated by furtherance of African-American interests

I want to thank the organizers of this important Segundo Encuentro for providing me an opportunity to address this body and to put the issue of Brazilian conduct in Haiti on the table for discussion.

President Lula da Silva, what would you say to Fredi Romelus for his terrible loss? His one-year old son, Nelson Romelus. What was his crime? Why was he executed by your soldiers? His four year-old brother Stanley, who died of a high-powered gunshot wound to the head, what was his crime?

that's true... I think the Green Party has a good platform, but their action plans are underdeveloped. I feel like they have all the pieces, but they haven't put the puzzle together yet. They might need a "powerplayer" the way Ron Paul has become for Libertarians. That kind of strong and experienced leadership could help them flesh out the platform with real and constructive action plans for change. I think Al Gore could be an exact fit key for this party, or someone like Benjamin Barber...

As far as Gore and Nader, Gore could not win his home state of Tennessee, so who really lost him the election? If you can not win your home state, there are definitely some problems. He couldn't even win Arkansas.

But most importantly, he did win, he just didn't have the backbone to stick up for what he won.

I am sure your aware of the Supreme Court decision Texas v. White.

That Court decision did state:

"The union between Texas and the other States was as complete, as perpetual, and as indissoluble as the union between the original States. There was no place for reconsideration, or revocation, except through revolution, or through consent of the States."

So, legally, a revolution is recognized by the Court. What would be the States consent? Either of these seem to be acceptable.
