btwyes, the two fighters are surely A-10 Thunderbolts - mind the GAU-8 Cannon (the gatling gun) and the turbines. And the big one at the end (the one with the four propellers) is a AC-130, but I´m not sure about the particular model. @enterthafatass: it flew that low for precise shooting - soldiers were about 50 yards away from the bot.

It´s not in the video, but in the movie, Predator drones were sent for visual survey. Why didn´t they drop missiles on the bot?

Pretty sure its an A10 Warthog. An AC130 would never fly that low. And why would it? With its 105mm cannon it can blow shit up form about 20000 feet up.
