  • Awesome tutorial man. Cant wait to put all of these tips into place. Thank You.

  • umm I hate to say it and I dunno abot yalls cameras, but my Nikon's AF sensor is in body under the Sub-mirror, the Meter is the only sensor in my prism housing

  • These HDSLR videos are great (episodes 48 - 52 and episode 22). Are you going to create a Playlist so it is easier to watch these as a series?

  • Additionally, you say that sensor is exposed line by line, which is even more wrong. It's exposed all at once, in fact continuously (that's how you can get live view after all) and only data is read line by line.

  • It would be much more accurate to say that HDSLR stands for Hybrid Digital Single Lens Relex, not high definition. It can be 18 or more megapixel sensor which definitely is high definition, but won't be HDSLR if the camera can't shoot video.

Hybrid means it can both shoot stills and video.

  • nice Mark

  • You da man, Mark!

  • like always adorama is first

  • Hey Mark..Thanks a lot for doing HDSLR. I always wanted you to do more of this as u ve already done a lot on still photography. Plz do more episodes. Regards in anticipation!

  • thank you

  • whats with the pretty girls with the boys names? don? sam? :D greetings! incredibly good video!!!

  • @wuddlknuddel Don = Donna. Sam = Samantha. I think its not really boys name is it.

  • @ClankyRochet really? you really had to comment on that? wow ... "thank you for this precious piece of information"

  • @wuddlknuddel Her name is Dawn (a girls name) and Sam is short for Samantha.

  • @snapfactory ow really -.-" who would have thought that ....

  • The word to describe this awesome video hasnt been invented yet! btw i need to have "love it" button instead of the "like it" button!

    thank you so much!

  • Awesome subject matter for HDSLR! Thanks Mark!

  • Thanks Mark for the video. Just to let you know that I do beleve Canon 550d 50d 60d 7d 5d mkII etc... does have autofocus while recording video but is just contrast based and it's very slow.

  • Nice video! As I see more and more ordinary peoples (not professional photographers, of coarse) shift from smart small handheld cameras to advanced cameras with making video ability.

But I still thinking that my iPhone 4 also upload great homevideos on personal YouTube :)

  • Thanks Mark!! Great Video!!

  • hey wait a minute! Rolling shutter only affects CMOS sensors, whereas CCD sensors are not (or are so minutely that it is impossible to tell). I'm not sure if all DSLRs that can do HD video use CMOS sensors, so just pointing that technicality out.

But I digress; nice episode regardless.

  • Film Aint going away any time soon. I was on a film set and The used Hybrid film digital Cameras. Other stuff I hear is that is has a greater Dynamic range.

Still I like my digital. Cheaper and safer.

Also "mad at my Boyfriend "has been nominated for an Oscar for best Film.

  • great video, thx for doing this Mark and can't wait to see the rest of the series!

  • Thank you Mark for this! Can't wait for the next few parts!
