  • nice job bro! loved it!

  • You kick ASS!!!!!!

  • EVH is one of his influences?

  • Like WOLF told Sumlin...lose the pic.

Youll prefer it better once you master the sloppiness of it...sloppiness adds dirt to the frawness of it.Think giant callous farmhands driving the sound of that guitar like an electric current.

Thats my advice take it or tell me to piss off..

either way thanks for your post..

  • fantastic, yeah!

  • Really fantastic, kid, unfortunately, you are living in a country and in an era where music seems to have finally lost it's past time recreational pan-cultural influence. It was there in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s , mid 1970s *somewhat*, and tapered off in the 80s and nose dived in the 90s and finally crashed dived in the 2000s. Sorry, lad.

  • great playing!!!!!!!!!! but wasn't this originally robert johnson, and not Elmore James?

  • Yes it was. But Johnson didn't write it; nobody knows who did that.

  • I think the song predates both of 'em.

  • yea, original Johnson wrote it. The original is awesome.

  • would sound a lot warmer with a thick glass slide, but you brought back that classic old sound with the steel slide.

  • My oh my, can this kids fingers fly....I am so impressed with the younger generations knowing just what it is that makes them happy...maybe we can get more kids out there to get into what makes their souls sing, and let the war-mongers fight the wars they keep shoving us into. I tip my hat and give a bow to to you my new friend. Keep the songs alive and GOD bless you really really good.

  • i love the guitar playing. Should get a microphone though.

  • damn! 'til this kid puffs a fatty.. he'll be scorchin' hot with those strings! HELLYEAAAAAHHHH!!!

  • awesome!

  • true, but this is in the STYLE of elmore james

  • @Bohumill2

i thought it was more of a subconscience johnson homage rather than an elmore homage

  • i've gotta say : Nice :D

like the vid and the song :)

  • Great job kid!! I'm pretty sure Elmore is smiling down at you :-)

  • ROLE ON MAN!!!

  • Beautiful tone from that guitar. Great playing! Wish I could do that!

  • Yeah, that's really amazing guitar playing. I was born three months premature myself and I was fortunate enough to escape any real physical ailments. It's hard to believe you're only twelve. Thank You

  • What can I say? This was very good. I hope he keeps at it. 12 years old...I could hardly sing at that age.

  • Keep it up. Great to see youngsters like you keeping up the blues tradition

  • Great

  • Nice playin' kid.

  • Thats just amazing!! they could do with a better microphone though.

  • A 'real' boy wonder, both musically & medically. Is anybody realising, that 1.5 lbs is only an amazing 680 grams (0.68kg!!!). Hawaiian Boogie by Conrad Oberg is even more impressive.

  • Yeah, man. If you belted out a bit more, you'd really own this one. Try it. It feels gooooooooood......

  • plz someone did someone have going down slow of elmore james?

  • What the hell kind of guitar is that? I've never seen one like it. (It's very shiny.) umm... Anyway great playing.

  • National Steel Guitar

  • Thank God for this kid. See...this is called playing. Singing and playing - no BS.

And we'll see where he's at when he reaches Robert Johnson's age....

  • Not even close to Robert Johnson. But absolutely incredible none-the-less! Excellent job.

  • MY gooooood!, you are the reincarnation of Robert Johnson, you're very skilled!!

    Go Conrad go go! ;)

  • isint that a robert jhonson song? Yeah he was the one that spawned the birth of the blues

  • i like robert johnsons fingerpicking style of playing this song

  • good good good

  • dont be scared to get into it. give the vocals more. you got it in you

  • nice guitar anyway.

  • It would be a lot better finger-picked man... And it's a Robert Johnson song... But good job, I'm proud of you!

  • no its definately an elmore james song

  • No it's a Robert Johnson song. Elmore James was just the first to poularize it.

  • dummy

  • Ill be honest i was jealous at first but now i accept it i suck.. YOU ARE A GOD AT GUITAR!!!!

  • You really need to join a blues band, it was really cool

  • when i was ten i was barely learning power chords, talk about fuckin talent!

  • On your way. Keep it as long as you can keep it real.

Where ever your heart takes you your music will follow and it will be good.

  • No, Conrad's playing a National Style O. Son House played one most of his life.

  • man u gonna be blues hittttttttt i feel it coming from ur heart im happy to see this amaazing talent

  • That ending is so tight that I'm going to steal it !

  • Right on Conrad. Bless your soul! Show the world more peace brother.

  • This kid is going to be the best in the world someday. Let me know when you make your first cd, I'll buy it.

  • to be fair, it is a Robert Johnson song, slightly rearranged...

but still, pretty damn good playing!

  • That was cool!!

  • OMG!! Thank you sooooooooooo much!! I believe..no..I KNOW that Stevie and Elmore are looking down and smiling that smile...you know the one that just says...Yea..brother..play:) Thank you Conrad for fulfilling my request...made my whole damn day!! Best wishes to you always brother:)

  • Great playing. Real conviction as well actually. Good stuff!

  • Absolutely awesome! Sweet Home Chicago should be a breeze to learn after this.

  • Do U know what guiter that is he is playing?

  • Conrad is playing a National Duolian. It is very similar to the guitar played by Son House toward the end of his career.

  • Cheers! : )
